Hamilton won't win, he would have to beat his teammate for that which is something he has never done at Monza. 2007 finishes 2nd to Alonso 2008 Kovy takes 2nd with Hamilton further down 2009 crashes 2010 crashes 2011 Button clearly outclassed him
lewis had the wrong set uplast year, and was stuck behind schumacher when jenson was behind lewis.lewis was forced out wide which is when button got past lewis, and by then schumacher needed to pit,so button easily got past schumacher. we'll see what happens tho.
It is one of the few tracks where I expect Button to beat Hamilton so I am surprised Hamilton's leading the poll. Especially when you also consider how much effort Ferrari put into this race +Alonso.
Ma Qing Hua will test in FP1 on Friday for HRT becoming the first Chinese driver to enter an grand prix weekend
I have voted Sergio Perez, as Kamui wasn't listed. That Sauber annihilated all comers in the speed traps at Spa. Considering they run a similar low downforce setup for Monza, and there isn't really a twisty section, i can see that Sauber being very strong here.
What is wrong with voting for a Sauber? Nobody would have expected a Toro Rosso to win in 08, no one would expect a williams to win this season. The Sauber suits that track, much like the 08 Toro Rosso suited Monza. Now it's time to see if Perez really is the future.
If Jenson wants a serious shot at the title he needs to win 3 out of the remaining races with others like Alonso, Vettel, Webber winning only one each and I assumed Lewis would win 2. Even this does not guarantee the title and it comes down to placings when each doesn't win. Mathematically therefore Jenson can win the title but seems unlikely. If he is serious he has to win Monza. I think he can win this race but still doubt he can launch a serious shot at the title.
It's time to play my favourite GP game: What Will Pastor Do This Weekend??? I think he'll qualify on pole and then at the start reverse into everybody.
Even with the 10-place grid penalty he'll probably bolt around on the formation lap and line up in P1
Depends how high he qualifies. If the 10 place grid pen puts him with backmarkers then first corner crash, if he's higher then the wheel of Maldonado could land on anyone.
Not sure if anybody is interested but here are some thoughts on the drivers for Monza; http://www1.skysports.com/formula-1/news/22058/8053774/Italian-GP-preview-Questions-for-Monza
Voted Lewis, but Jenson does well here (and on current form McLaren have the fastest car), Alonso and Ferrari will up their game for the teams home race, RedBulls only worked well at Spa due to Sector 2 but without the twists and turns of Spa, I can see them struggling here this year, Merc, if they don't ear their tyres may surprise a few, Lotus have a car that works everywhere so should be in with a shout and, as others have said, the Saubers were blinding in a straight line.. In short, I haven't a clue who will win, would be Kwel to see the top 10 covered by 4 seconds at the end of the race!
