If it's gonna be a 2 stop it might hurt Ferrari as there hopeless on the Hard Tyres and they'll have to do more laps on it. My prediction for pole is either Vettel or Hamilton, maybe even Jenson
I can say for sure that Hamilton will not get pole, in fact I'd put money on him not being in the top 3 Commentary might be a bit lacking for the race... please log in to view this image
Oh yeah I meant to say Lewis would get a 'fake pole'. Anyway I think Pirelli could have got away with the super soft and the soft as Ted said in FP1.
I was just being awkward I wonder if we'll see teams doing a "splash" and dash stop at the end to only do a handful of laps on the hard. Turn 10/11 seems to be hurting the inside shoulder on the left fronts on the softs please log in to view this image
Yeah I knew what you meant . And yeah might have the Germany situation where Felipe and Seb battled for 4th in the pits! But I'm sure the Vettel fans don't want to think about that race and neither do I...
im gonna stick my neck out and say for qualifying (pre penalty) it will be: 1.vettel 2.alonso 3.webber 4.hamilton 5.massa 6.button 7.rosberg 8.schumacher everyone else
just like to point Bando to the 14th post down on the first page of this old thread http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/55116-The-Official-Not606-European-GP-Chat-amp-Predictions may I have my point for last race? Ferrari looking good, and I think Hamilton was a bit hard done by considering he was getting 2 different signals, the green light surely being the one the eye is more drawn too. Still nice to see hm take responsibility publicly, despite how he must actually feel about it.
I've added a point for you. Just a reminder to everyone that the poll is still open for another two hours.
I missed practice so what do people reckon. Were Ferrari on fumes or are they looking good round here?
They looked quick, but this isn't the first time they've topped the charts in FP. It's hard to say who is genuinly quick as we don't know the context of the times (fuel, tyres, DRS activation). Even the rules of qualifying make it hard to see who has actual race pace, as the more effective your DRS is will affect your quali/race pace differential. p.s. thanx forza, much obliged.
He would be ahead of the likes of Alonso and Jenson if that's what your asking, if he was in that McLaren yeah. So my answer would be yes, he would still be leading, maybe only by about 20-30 points, but he would still be leading none the less. So this talk would still be around saying McLaren is the dominant car since Jenson being 2nd prooves it and that Seb is getting better treatment and Jenson is always getting screwed over by team orders and all be comparing why Lewis and Alonso could do a better job, eventhough the facts speak for themselves.
I am sorry but if Vettel was in a Mclaren he would never be leading the WDC. Not a chance. Everyone says that Webber has been crap this season and yet his lowest finish has been 5th. Just tells you how good the Red Bull is.
I meant would he be able to beat whoever was in his red bull? Say him and Jenson swap cars. But anyway i think there's a better way to say that the RB7 has been by far the best car. Lets take a look at every race that vettel didn't win. China- Poor strategy -7pts Canada- Slip -7pts Britain - Slow stop -7pts Germany- poor race, Webber showed the car could have won. -3 to 15 points Hungary- the only race where the speed wasn't in the car. -0 points Japan- conservative strategy for the title - 3 to 10 points Most importantly aside from Hungary, is there a single race this year where to pace to win just wasn't in the car?
I reckon Hamilton will be going all out after receiving that penalty, he will want to stay as close to the RB's in Quali, and then make the most out of his race pace on Sunday.
lol and what's Lewis worst result this season? 8th? and that was having a **** race with a 20 second penelty.... Jensons worst result has been 6th and he's considerd overrated by a majority of people, and this is only 1 place off RBR racing, tells you how good the McLaren is...
Any news stories on teh Ferrari's Flexi front wing? I only saw a couple of comments, but are these Ferrari bashes, or is there anything there?
I read that Seb had engine and brake problems at Hungary for about 1/3rd of the GP so another few points lost there.
