Q2 and Q3 is going to be tight. Mercedes look awful and Red Bull are up and down. Poor on the medium tyre but great on the soft.
Vettel found about 10km/h between the two sessions and was 9km/h quicker than Webber in FP2. FP3 speeds aren't up yet but I bet Vettel will be back to 295km/h for FP3 and qualifying. Edit: Vettel 301.2, Webber 299.5. Half way between FP1 and FP2, maybe it wasn't a glitch. Why do GP2 drivers deserve a seat more? It costs an absolute fortune to compete in GP2, they're all pay drivers, at least Toro Rosso select drivers who they believe have talent. I don't see the problem with Toro Rosso myself, they're reasonably competitive, challenge for minor points, and bring young drivers into the sport. They give more to the sport than the three new teams.
Rosberg yes since he was driving junk at Williams all through his career until he got into Mercedes and is matching a 7 time world champion. Heikki not really considering it has taken him 3 years at Caterham to become better as a driver, before that he wasn't that amazing and Lewis was wiping the floor with him at McLaren. He couldn't even beat Seb at Monza with a far better car!
And Hulkenberg and Grosjean. All the drivers who were any good have been pulled up to F1. The standard seems pretty poor now.
In the limited time of watching GP2, I think Razia is pretty good. Probably the best of the lot, but i dont know about being F1 ready yet.
Talent wise in order, in my opinion, from GP2 straight into F1: Lewis (The best that's ever come out of the series) Perez (Needs to calm down and get more consistency) Rosberg (Just needs a WDC fighting car) Grojsean (Needs experience) Hulk (Needs experience) Maldonado (Lots of money, needs more experience and consistency) Heikki (Needed experience to be where he is)
This sky coverage is pretty boring. They need a better presenter, isn't the career man available soon?
Rumours running through the paddock that Red Bull have been cheating again by having a switch to adjust ride height.
Even they couldn't get away with that, probably a smear campaign by McLaren (it's always McLaren who moan)
So apparently Williams only have the resources to make one of their cars at a time much faster than everyone expects...
