Hamilton in control? Or his car acting the way he wanted it to? Not making mistakes is not a sign of a 10 rating. Thus the reason Vettel didn't most 10's every race last season.
... In my book not making mistakes is the number one sign of a 10 rating, a 10 rating being reserved for a "perfect" race. Or does Button not deserve any credit for any of his performances last year, seeing as that was just the car acting the way he wanted it to? (We all know his problems with fighting an imperfect car, after all) Dominance from the front and coming through from the back are just as commendable...
Ah, but he did make a mistake though! He locked up at the first corner and never looked back. What did Seb get for Bahrain?
Obvious bias is obvious but Hamilton did have the best car all weekend. Unlike Alonso last week, but still, both did a dominant race and both deserved the win.
Seb got a 10 for Bahrain. More to the point Webber got a 10 for Monaco doing what Hamilton did in a race which was virtually identical. All the hard work was done on Saturday, the race was pretty redundant in terms of ratings because nobody could do anything about overtaking, and a lot of drivers' pace was restricted by being held up by slower cars.
Or to get a sub 2 second stop they'll send a car out with no tyres attached... Autosport are clearly anti-Hamilton We all know how dodgy these ratings can be sometimes but over the course of the season they seem fairly accurate. Or am I pro-anti the drivers at the top/bottom
Then autosport must think Lewis had the fastest car all weekend then to give him a 9/10. Was the same **** with Seb last year, dominate, pole, "lead every lap" win, next race! I thought it deserved a 10 as it was all he could do in the place.
Hamilton did deserve a 10 actually, he was on another level all weeked. I'm not sure why they keep rating Pic so highly, he never appears to do much. Maybe he's related to the magazine owner?
He was excellent, i will admit it. Did an Alonso style job at the front, just controlled the race. I also think Lotus threw the race away, their car seems to lack slipstream management.
That Lotus is probably going to be the greatest ever car not to win a single race. I honestly can't see where they can win now, it would typically be a warm track with medium speed corners, but i'm not sure if there are any like that left.
If they can get a pole anywhere then I think they'll win from the front. They are so close to getting the win, but always leave it a bit too late to make the charge.
Is it the car or the drivers though? I'd love to see what an Alonso/Vettel/Hamilton could do in the car, it probably would have won a race by now.
Dry races do happen at spa occasionally so they could have it there, Suzuka I reckon the will have a good chance at, possibly india, singapore might be like valencia so they should have a good chance. I don't even know where in the USA this USA Grand Prix is or what the track looks like
