Wow those McLarens and Lotus' look like the cars to beat now, this season just keeps finding a new fastest car. Didn't Kimi have a KERS issue? Shame about Seb losing out to Jenson, he would of been on the podium if Jenson wasn't holding him up.
I feel I should had some sympothy, I had to watch that race with no sound Result sort of made up for it, would have been better if Button could have been stuck behind people less today.
Competent and controlled drive from Hamilton. Anyone still think he can't look after his tyres? Credit to Red Bull for trying something different with Vettel to see if he could get ahead of Grosjean. Didn;t work but they didn;t have much to lose by not pitting him as clearly he wasn;t going to pass him otherwise.
Can a mod please open my questionnaire with regard to the selections of the halfway point? Thanks you!
As much as I love this track, something's gotta be done about the lack of overtaking here, even if it's just lengthening the pit straight or the run down to turn 2 by 50m.
JB just claimed his tyres were OK and didnt understand why they pitted early on every stint. I ahve to say on the 2nd stop he was only 6 seconds behind Lewis and matching pace whilst Vettle was doing his nut! Strange really because a podium or 4th was defo on the cards! Excellent job by Lewis all weekend!
This race is one of the best on the F1 game, don't know why it's so crap in real life. Swap it for the Argentina one, the one with the lake in the middle.
Don't blame him. He should have finished on the podium. EDIT - I do however think he's a twat for that shoulder barge. I guess the pressure must be getting to him. Schoolboy stuff and it doesn't paint him in a very good light.
Petulant little ****! Don;t see why he would be pissed off. Red Bull did not have the car this weekend and having gone down to 4th at the start that is where he finished. Needs to learn how to lose with some humility that boy.
A good damage limitation race for Ferrari. They were bit lucky with Button's failed strategy but the positive thing is only 2 points dropped to Vettel, who I consider the biggest threat to Alonso. Unfortunately the second biggest threat gained 15 points on Alonso. I hope the pace was track specific and not a sign of things to come. Only the overtaking difficulties at this track stopped Button and Webber (and Raikkonen in the first stint) getting past. One thing that does need to be addressed is Maldonado's driving. Another race where he caused a collision, and this sort of driving will continue unless more action is taken on repeat offenders. Come on FIA, give him a race ban. I'm no fan of Di Resta, but I'm getting sick of Maldonado bulldozing his way through the field. He has no respect for other drivers.
I did predict and have a good feeling that this is how it would of turned out today. Webber, Seb, Lewis and Kimi equalise on points but Alonso still pulling away from 2nd, it's a bit like 2011 that there just doesn't seem to be a rival appearing out of the pack to fully go after him.
Indeed doesn't do favours in the long run, he would be very wise to take a leaf out of Kimi, Lewis and Alonso's book about to go about cooling that temper and picking your battles. I did tell you he had a very big temper! Hopefully Helmut Marko gets the boot as I believe he is the influence on that sidetrack emotion of "being targeted" if you know what I mean.
They're allowed to change it outside parc ferme. They probably change it at pitstops all the time, saying no would be like getting accused of not starting the race on the tyres you qualified on and saying "we've never changed the tyres". I thought Maldonado would chill out after coming under so much scrutiny but then he does it again. Brundle gave him the benefit of the doubt saying he was trying to control the oversteer, but that's the third time he's steered into someone on the outside this season. They have to do something about him.
Really pleased for Lewis and Kimi, especially Kimi as he was so close again, liked him showing some ruthlessness against Grosjean. But to be honest it was a snoozefest, and that's coming from someone who likes the two guys who finished 1st and 2nd! The track even with DRS does not lend itself to overtaking, so get rid of it!
I think he just needs to realise that not everything will go as well as 2011. So long as he channels that dissapointment in teh right way then he'll do fine, but showing it so much in public will ensure he will get the same love/hate following as a certain rival of his!
