he was set to stop one less time than Vettel and was going faster. Could have got 5th and Silverstone he lost a podium (The pit stop was for him to pass webber and i think by the end he would have passed him, so 23-25 points. Thats probably second in the championship. Now a distant 5th. Its also killed his effort to beat Hamilton.

Petrov has done a personal best 3rd sector and a average middle sector.

No Purple... So not reason to pit for Hamilton and Alonso....

The Prime is looking ok, so no desperate need to hold onto the options. Racing till the end, this is what we want.

Gap between Hamilton and Alonso is about 2.3 - 2.4 secs.

What did Button retire of? BBC live text says hydraulics. When was the last time a big team had a hydraulics failure? Thats the thing that was an issue with the new teams last year.

Yes but presuming Ferrari struggle with the warm up, surely they will not want to do more than 5 laps on them...

Hamilton in, did he wreck his tyres too early, or will this allow him to get the primes up to temp sooner than Alonso and Webber?

oooo where is this going. Alonso needs to come out ahead to avoid being easy to overtake by Hamilton.
