In that case have some more James Allen attempts to explain how Red Bull are being naughty with exhaust blowing/traction control. Isn't there a certain German about who has some sort of traction control controversy in his past already.... History repeating The Red Bull Renault engine map controversy
Sorry Silver, just making an observation. I do forget how arsey you get when things go badly for boy wonder. Its only you who thinks Hamilton ruined Sebs race anyway. He wad only trying to fight back through the field.

I have this strange idea in my head that the podium 3 should be the fastest guys out there. Why would any leading 3 driver feel upset by a lapped driver passing them.? Shouldn't they just drive faster? Didn't a certain Irishman overtake Schuey once like that?
This is what I don't get. Once the FIA say it's illegal, it's illegal right? They don't refer it to the stewards to confirm whether they're right or not, they pass on the information that Red Bull have raced an illegal car and let the stewards for the German grand prix decide what the punishment should be. The stewards have no right to overrule the FIA's judgement do they? Or have I missed something?
Firstly, as has been extensively pointed out by experts, there is nothing in the rules to stop a lapped driver unlapping himself as a matter of principle. Secondly, Vettel must have known that Hamilton was a) likely to be smarting at being lapped b) wouldn't want to yield to Button if he had an alternative c) was in a competitive car d) had new tyres and e) was at the time faster than Vettel - otherwise how did he catch up? If he didn't know these things, his team let him down by not telling him. You don't have to be a genius to anticipate what Hamilton's likely to do. If he's bothered about losing time, the best plan is to move over at the first opportunity that suits him & let Hamilton past without a fight. He only loses time if he defends and gets in a mix up and starts waving his arms around. It's not as if Hamilton then slowed in front of him, in fact he caught Alonso up, although like everyone else, he couldn't get on terms with the Ferrari, which I suspect had some pace in hand, subject to protecting its tyres. Hamilton wasn't shown any blue flags. This is all a bit immature I'm afraid. I'm pretty sure that if Hamilton had been able to get onto Alonso's tail, Alonso would have let him past the easy way. He knows which battles are worth fighting and which are not.
For the first time I agree with the Autosport rating without reservation. I'm sure the chaps at Autosport will be very pleased to know that Spot on!
Firstly, Vettel made no effort to prevent Hamilton getting past, he held the racing line and was blocked on the exit. Secondly Alonso did defend against Hamilton, he took a defensive line a couple of times and was using all his Kers on the exit of turn 4 because he knew exactly what Hamilton would do if he got past.
So you've criticised him for defending, and now you're agreeing that he didn't defend, and that that somehow backs up your point?
The shiny topped one is promising us that Red Bull's dodgy yet not dodgy traction control / exhaust blowing map is to become illegal in a matter of days... Formula 1 bosses are working to introduce a rule change to outlaw controversial engine settings on the Red Bull.
I do find it funny how a couple of people on here are saying how Hamilton has thrown his toys out of the pram after his radio message yesterday, totally forgetting how Seb's comments yesterday showed just how little maturity he has. But of course Vettel can do no wrong because as we are constantly told by the likes of DC and Jake he is a supposed ''good guy'' while Hamilton is the supposed ungrateful whinger. Vettel is fast no doubt but to make out that he is any more mature or 'nicer' than Hamilton is quite frankly rubbish
i'm sure the slimy cheats at red bull will find some other way of squirming their way through another loophole.
I think the 'loophole' you're referring to is Bernie's sphincter and if they're prepared to squirm through that then, frankly, they deserve to get whatever they want. 'Slimy' would facilitate this too so they are naturally well-equipped for the job in hand.
Maybe I didn't explain myself simply enough. Vettel should have known, or been told, that Hamilton was coming up behind him quickly on new tyres and with nothing to lose. Knowing Hamilton as even the casual observer does, love him or hate him, it was pretty obvious what Hamilton was likely to do. A sensible driver with a podium to protect would have merely picked a spot where it didn't affect him much and take positive steps to let Hamilton un-lap himself without drama or histrionics. Not only would that have avoided the damage that Vettel apparently suffered, it would release Hamilton to perhaps mess up Alonso's race, especially given their history. Whereas Vettel...........
