Where are the preferred forecasts for Montreal? I've found this one, which claims rotten weather on Saturday and Monday so even if the weather front shifts between now and then the race is likely to be affected.
Every forecast I've seen so far has said rain on Saturday, heavy rain on Sunday. Which is good, because this race was shaping up to be boring and processional.
would the wet tyres be longer lasting than the tyres they would use? There hasnt been a wet race yet so it could either be great or really boring
Wow! Thats the first time in ages some one has suggested a wet race will be worse than a dry race. How times have changed with these tyres
I think even if it's wet the 2 zones for the DRS will be even more important because with a wet track the 'dirty' side will be washed and so easier to execute the moves maybe? I really hope it will be a McLaren 1-2 to open up the championship!
Wet races will be awesome, but I wan't a dry Canada race - unless Vettel takes pole, then forza rain! PMC, I don't understand why you left me that visitor message. Was it in response to someone else? Send me a PM
Technically yes, but we have seen it open in odd places. The momentary loss of downforce if it opened mid-corner could be pretty disastrous, especially in the final chicane at Montreal, where its high speed and the walls are all rather close.
I think the race is going to be exciting and chaotic at the same time, if the weather plays out how it's planning on being like.
Is it possible for a team to switch from pushrod to pullrod in the middle of the season? Obviously it would require a lot of work, but is it possible?
I'd guess you'd need permission as it would probably involve a chassis change. Virgin got away with that last year but thats because they couldn't finish races
La Gazzetta says that Ferrari are working on a revolutionary rear end with a pull rod suspension - but they are unsure whether it's for 2011 or 2012
They can make suspension changes, but I doubt it's possible to make such a radical change and conform to regulations. It's like the McLaren sidepods, legally teams are allowed to copy them, but realistically it would be impossible to re-sculpt them and reposition all the bits inside without breaking regulations.
