As a Button and Hamilton fan today was both great and a disaster. the only thing that makes up for it was that Hamilton had a dodge setup any way so probably only lost a handful of points.
Just bumping this now cosi's online. I was wondering if a driver would be able to notice something like this (losing chunks of time on the straights) in the car when they switch from one set up to another, or whether they only really detect things like balance and stability and rely on the engineers to point out losses such as this. I don't suppose you could shed any light on it cosi?
A one race ban is totally appropriate. Grosjean maybe fast but is a ruddy idiot and seems to think it is acceptable. Hopefully banned for one race will put his head in the right place making him realise he is damaging his image not improving it. If he does a similar thing again this season he should be banned for the rest of the season but hopefully this will make him think twice and check what is around him.
On a side note after his comments during the break surely the most fun option now is to give Piquet Jr a chance to test his Raikkonen theory
Thanks, AG. It's nice to be noticed. After a long day, I admit to not having yet read the thread, and will try to get up to speed in the few days before flying out to Italy. The simple answer is yes, one certainly notices such huge discrepancies â and this really is HUGE! Drivers and their engineers will study such data not to discover that they are losing chunks of time, but in order to evidence it and thereby address the problem. For obvious reasons, it is highly unusual to see current data being presented publicly. On seeing this, one is tempted to conclude that it was an effort to provide proof to people who would otherwise not have such conclusive evidence; as in 'making a point' (necessarily to ignoramuses)â¦
please log in to view this image Top 6's average race pace with Button as the baseline. Shows Buttons dominance very clearly, as well as Vettels dominance of 2nd. It also shows the traffic issues RAI, HUL and WEB had around lap 30 which alowed Massa to catch and pass Webber.
I suspect that unless Hamilton is not careful he may be forcibly removed from Twitter in the near future by his team lest off-field distractions affect him once again.
got a 5 place drop for the jump start and another 5 place drop for ramming Glock on the (re)start. So in Monza he'll have to overtake a few people thus getting more penalties probably
Must say that Telemetry trace means nothing to me at all. Just a load of squiggles. On a side note did anyone notice all the drivers giving Vettel an awful lot of room yesterday?
I have a fair few mate, glad to be back had a blast. Got ****ered at the bars out the front of the track on Saturday and Sunday and we hustled Eddie Jordan who stupidly put his car out in front of our drinking zone and he got mobbed. Cosicave might have seen us in the middle of the road cheering every car that goes by and demanding to do some wheelspins and engine revving or they wouldn't let them past. Saying bye bye to the police was funny as they kept on telling us to get out of the middle of the road as we had drivers like Kamui, Buemi and Vergne go past and good old Ross Brawn drove past as well. On Sunday some guy bought his van round and set off a firework ****storm in the middle of the road with cars still driving past as these Belgiums are crazy! That lasted about an hour of none stop fireworks and you might be able to see it on YouTube as I haven't had the chance to look as I only just got back. But do yourself a favour, forget Silverstone and go to Spa-Francorchamps as the party doesn't end at 10pm as on most days I only had 2-3 hours sleep by staying up drinking until 3-4am and getting up at 5-6am to get on the track, it is ****ing mental at this place. This place is like Glastonberry but with F1 fans it is ****ing fantastic and the views on the track are unbeatable! It truly is the track for the fans. But about F1 in general, great race I highly enjoyed watching good young Seb cut up through the field like I always knew he could, 10th to 2nd and a **** load of overtakes by him was a great treat for the cold weather and qualifying performance I had to endure. Unlucky Alonso, I hope he is ok though as I would of much of preferred an engine or gearbox failure to get Seb closer in the WDC as it's now (game on), hopefully this doesn't upset him mentally for the rest of the year as no driver deserves that kind of treatment and we all want a great battle for the WDC. Poor Hamilton, he did nothing wrong apart from being too good at the start and that stupid moron Romain drove into the side of him to cause that horrific accident. I was the first in the crowd to scream out that it was Romain's fault and adding "****ing moron" even I would of backed up the Lewis fans on that incident as he was only driving in a straight line. I'm glad that moron got a race bann as if he didn't I would of hoped he would of got pelted with onions at Monza by the Scuderia crowd. Pastor, what a stupid day for him eh? Great overtake by Kimi on Schumacher at eau rouge, the crowd went crazy with that move and we all applauded it. Was a great battle to watch as well! Jenson, well I guess he saw my post on here saying he is crap around Spa and the worst of the WDC's and he went off again by spanking everybody and shut me up again when I most doubted him. (Stop stalking me Jenson I know your reading this forum now.) But yeah....go to Spa you tarts and stop missing the best time of your life! I'm not joking, it was that good!!!
