Lotus feeling confident about Bahrain as its a traction circuit which in ways is similar to Aus. Think we may be on for another strong result for Kimi <ok>

If the soft tyres were being used then I would have said a Lotus win is likely. Not so sure now.

Good shout BiL, the softer the compound the better the Lotus takes care of the tyres, advantage lessens the harder the tyres get?

Is there any quotes or anything to show that the tyres are definitely being changed?

Think Mercedes have a chance here, now they seem to have maybe caught the Bulls. Lotus's advantage will be lessened IMO
But still Ferrari will be a tough one to dismiss from the top step.

Gone for Alonso, but Kimi will be a threat the whole race. Hopefully Grosjean and Massa pick up as well

I have gone for Alonso aswell, I think the Lotus doesnt quite have the outright pace and with not using the soft tyre the advanatge they hold will be reduced. I think the success of Lewis will depend more on the plight of others, if Massa and the RB's turn up I think he will struggle to make the podium. My feeling is that the Merc just isnt that quick on full tanks and they appear to be running slightly lower fuel loads to race at the front (IMO) - I still expect Lewis to put his car on the front row.

I think changing tyres to medium and hard plays in to Red Bull's hands to be honest.

Aye, won't hurt the Mercs either! Here's hoping for a nice Ferrari/RB/Lotus/Merc battle throughout the race, rather than the first few and last few laps (as was the case in China).

Good thing we didn't have a similar police force when I used to bunk off school!

Should we/do we need to look at filling the Bahrain GP slot with some other race, there are more important things in life than Sport, but I guess such a "morale" attitude doesn't help pay for that house in the Hampton's that Bernie's kids "Must Have!"

Yep, I think Bernie's addiction to money and absence of conscience have a lot to do with it. If I wasn't addicted to F1 myself, events like this would make me turn elsewhere. I have promised myself I'm not going to get so het up about it this year though; whether I can do that is another matter.

Re-scanned the original post.. I thought we (UK) were more than a couple of hours behind the Middle East?
Not complaining, these UK/European friendly times will allow one to see all the FP sessions.. happy days :D

The only way Bernie would leave Bahrain is if someone gets killed this weekend. That is the sick truth.
