Jeez take a chill pill no need to throw around insults just because not everyone agrees with the actions of your favourite driver, you know you do not have to be so defensive when someone offers their opinion on the actions of Jenson. For me Jenson's driving was just as aggressive as Checo's as Davidson showed after the race yesterday, Perez admitted that both should have reigned in their aggression while Jenson chose just to blame Perez as the more experienced driver I find that quite disappointing and surprising.
He didn't manage his tyres as well as his team-mate. Falling back so far has to lose him some points. No point having glory just on Saturday.
Sorry to put a dampener on things.. We've got to wait another sodding 3 weeks until the next GP.. FFS
Blimey... was just listening to the Chequred flag podcast... Webber was well miserable. Hard to believe he gets paid big sums of money to race cars, yet can still be as miserable as sin after a good scrap. Cheer up ya miserable sod!
I don't think he's taking in to account the clear air that Sutil had. It's not just calculating time that determines potential finishing positions.
I'm just saying that di Resta's drive was massively overrated, the Ferrari's were out of the equation, his team mate was taken out and everyone else was fighting with each other losing at times over a second a lap just because of that. 4th was the worst he could have got... and that's what he got
dear oh dear. So qualifying ahead of his teammate (again), keeping his nose clean, looking after his tyres, overtaking some people and keeping up a good pace all race to be beaten by an just an RBR and the Lotus' isn't good enough? Nah, it's just down to everyone else's bad luck If he found a cure for AIDS you'd still criticise him for taking too long.
Changing the subject somewhat, anyone heard of Dean Stoneman? Diagnosed with cancer yet still secured the F2 championship and was expecting a test drive with Williams till taking a year out to beat the cancer. Now back racing porches....leading championship. He still wants to find a route into F1.
please log in to view this image I know we've had a joke running on Paul's account but you have to give credit where it is due. He had a solid qualifying and a clean race and 4th is a hell of a lot better than I'd thought he'd do at the start of the race weekend.
I think F1 really needs refuelling back, there's barely any difference in the strategies teams use and there only tends to be 1 usable tire during the race because the softs go off so quickly with a car full of fuel. I think it would mix things up a bit more, as long as they don't ruin the whole fun uncertainty of how much fuel people are carrying by using the cars weight after qualifying to predict it, lol why? I wouldn't say its been a great start to the season, a lot of the possible front runners like Alonso, Webber, Massa and Raikkonen seem to be having lots of bad luck during the race and dropping back so not much has happened at the front, and we've already had a couple of races where the leader just cruises off, i wouldn't be surprised if its Hamiltons turn to do so at Catalunya.
Re-fuelling era was no better. Teams experimented at the start which made for some interesting results, but by the end they were either on the same strategy, or they'd just wait to 'overtake' others when they pitted. The actual racing on the circuit wasn't that good, even if the end result wasn't always settled until late.
It doesn't matter what set of regs you have, the boffins will find the shortest way to get from A to B and eventually everybody will do the same... unfortunately. My biggest complaint so far is the tyres... they are bloody ridiculous.
