Ferrari, RedBull? I would argue that the Lotus one is equal. I just think its disrespectful (and unlike Ross) to make such a comment, defend your drivers and suggesting that they are a equal to anyone is one thing but to suggest that they are better than everyone else......

My thoughts exactly. I've got a relatively early start tomorrow, so whether I make FP2 or not remains to be seen. F1, test cricket and a stack of chemistry journals to read. I believe that's my evening sorted!

Very much doubt I'll be able to make FP2 live, unless I go on a decent streak playing CoD!

I think potentially Brawn's correct, it depends on your view of Rosberg. Personally, I have doubts but I hope he can prove me wrong this year. And anyway, Brawn has to rally the troops ahead of the first race. I think there's a lot of that in his remarks.

At best Lewis equal to Alonso and Vettel, but to suggest that Roseberg is better than Massa and Webber is Crazy - I dont even think you could say equal to to be honest. Kimi is probably not as good as Lewis (debatable) but I woudl consider Grosjean to be a faster driver than Roseberg. My point is that for Brawn to say that they have the best driver pairing is to insinuate that both Lewis and Rosberg are better than the competition - and I just dont see that myself.

Anyway, its is a matter of opinion but the flips side is these remarks could come back to haunt him if they do not deliver.

Two proven race winners who have competed for a WDC and on occassions out paced their teamates who are considered the best in the same car? I would say that Roseberg has alot to prove!

Well, as I said, I think the main purpose of his remarks was to fire the team up and make a public display of confidence in his drivers, rather than him swearing an oath that his two drivers are the best: PR, in other words.

We've seen Rosberg out score the great MSC. He may not have been as good as his championship winning years but it's still impressive none the less. Given the chance he has shown he is capable of a race win and pole. Massa's form has dipped since 2008 and Webber's had a poor couple of seasons too. Both of those drivers have had race winning cars, Rosberg hasn't.

My doubt about Rosberg is that he has sometimes lacked aggression when he needed it but then this was a common complaint levelled at Button before he became Lewis's team mate; I don't hear it much now.

I wouldn't rule out Button for the win this weekend, but his chances don't look great, now that he's admitted McLaren were not capable of beating Rosberg's 1:20.1 in testing.

Am sure there is some bluffing/mind games going on by all the teams, or they genuinely don't know who is quickest.

None of them seem to want to come out and say they have a good/the best car

Im willing to bet money that the winner of the race will say 'Its a long season' 'we will see' or something along those lines.

Fellas, We are going to see alot more Sandbagging. The kind of Sandbagging that hasnt been seen since Noah and his ark

It's interesting to see, now that our poll has closed, that there are eight fancied drivers for this race. I hope this is a sign of the season ahead.

More importantly, have we lost Silver for good?

Has he out-psyched himself and is now a trembling wreck in the corner of a disused cupboard yelling at spiders who crawl across the floor thinking they're stalking him?
