Actually just found the answer: The Australian Grand Prix will again feature two DRS zones in 2013, with governing body the FIA retaining the same detection and activation points used last season.
Two DRS zones for every track this year bar Monaco and Suzuka: http://www.f1fanatic.co.uk/2013/03/06/bar-tracks-drs-zones-2013-2/
It's nice to hear the thoughts of Brundle and Hill. Never thought I'd say this but Forza Hill! They don't rate Perez do they? It could be that they think the car will suck, but then look at Massa - he's had three awful seasons and the points scored each year were: 144, 118, 122. So for Brundle to predict 100 points and nobody predicting higher than 140...WOW! Seems like they all expect him to be the next Kovalainen, with the exception of Croft, who is deluded to think Perez will only score 65 points, given that he scored 66 points last year in a Sauber. Brundle is usually well-informed, so is there something he knows that we don't, that makes his predict Lewis Hamilton for pole in Melbourne? It's also interesting that he doesn't predict Hamilton to be on the podium. Is this an oversight or is the Mercedes a monster on Saturdays and a hungry tyre eater on Sundays? Pinkham: "what a fairytale it would be for Max Chilton to get Marussia's first point in his rookie year" ......
Crofty, Lazenby and Pinkham and "F1 finest..." doesn't really sit well with me! But thanks for Posting Forza
LOOL thats abit deep , but yea i can see why u said it the media can't help them selves .Talking of paul di resta this year is crunch time if sutil beats him then its bye bye paul, damn that would be embarrasing .
It happens to all British drivers. I'm still waiting for someone to pick up on all the years Button spent being mediocre at the start of his career.
Pretty sure it happens to any driver in their respected countries though. That goes for players in other sports too.
All nationalities hype up their drivers at first, but they'll soon turn on Chilton when he inevitably flops, Di Resta's got away with it this long on the grounds of being a genuinely decent driver. Coulthard fawns over him, but other than that the problem is overstated. Yeah he gets mentioned more than he deserves to, but that's just British TV companies assuming the majority of their audience want to hear about the British drivers, which is probably accurate. As for Button, Missed the whole "playboy" period? besides, I count two mediocre years (2001/2008), What Button showed in his pre-09 career was certainly good enough to avoid a Di Resta comparison.
As per my post to another thread. Mclaren have the most reasons to sandbag big time. Fastest car at end of last season, Lewis gone, team messed up too many times last year, new car. Keep the pressure off...sandbag large and jenson won't feel the pressure of number 1 that way either. Unlike most I don't believe it.
I think the media hype might be amplified by the fact that there's now competition for TV viewers between Sky and BBC and of course the rise of social media. I think Jenson had it relatively easy during his lean years: it makes me wonder whether he would have lasted long enough to succeed in today's febrile media environment. I often say that today's young drivers don't get enough chance to develop before they are discarded and all the hype can't help with that.
