No doubt Rodgers will come out and say we played really well, passed the ball excellently again and were unlucky to lose.

Might have a case, but can't keep using that as an excuse. Need to start taking our chances and stop being so sloppy in defence.

Lesson from last few games - Downing is not a left back and never will be.

Dowd was Spurs best player on the night.

Never seen some many dirty cheating bastards than the divers at Spurs.

What the ****!!! Assaidi!?!?!?!?! How did he turn to such utter ****? Has he been sat on the bench thinking "Well if I can't get a game ahead of Downing/Henderson/Sterling/Gerrard, I must be ****", then came out and proved it?!?!?!

Jose E - man of the match

Buy 8 new players in January, we are going to need them, and get a manager who has the balls to drop Gerrard, who is simply not worth his place.

As it stands. 10 points off fourth and 7 points off 5th. With the run of games coming it's not the worst.. This season has been a bitch to us in terms of fixtures, but now comes our first proper run of winnable games, in a busy time of the season where a lot of teams will drop points.. Just being optimistic!

I don't know whether to say well recovered despite result or Spurs had a rest after ten minutes & just let us have the ball because they knew we'd not be able to do fanny all with it!

Original midfield 3 just does not work. No chemistry, no linking, no passion. Couldn't highlight one as poorer than any of the others. Shelvey made a slight improvement to our penetration but not much.

    Sterling jaded; needs a rest.

    Downing? Well...

And we can not cross a ball: in the air across the ground, in front of play or cutting back or from set piece and we certainly tried enough to test the theory. But even if we could without Enrique or Suarez who would be on the end of it?

And without Lucas quality in DM playing with such attacking FB's is suicide at the moment but then again we don't want to invite teams on with the midfield the way it is either.

    Whinge over. Enhancing my calm.

Investment is needed in the squad in January and the next few windows.

If Rodgers thinks Tom Ince and Sturridge are the answer to our problems then God help us. We bring in some Head Scouts and this is the best we can come up with?

  15. Why...? Do the other nineteen teams play a different set of thirty-eight games...? <doh>

Unlucky, you lot. Another option up front and you could well have won that. Story of your season so far though, from what I've seen.
We started really well and then just completely went to sleep, for some reason. Pretty poor performance, for me.
