Reading this thread in it's entirety I can only say that all the Liverpool fans that agree their side were poor tonight and that Stoke played well are proper football fans. Those that think we are ****e and physical bullies obviously watched a different game. Liverpool are yet to beat us at the Brit so we can't be that ****e otherwise it makes your side look even worse. We are unbeaten here since February and only conceded 4 goals and we have played all the top teams at home too. Pulis put out his most adventurous side this season tonight going 4-4-2 with 2 wingers so that tells you how worried he was about Liverpool pre game. We have been playing 4-5-1 all season with 4 in midfield and one winger. You have one striker that is all so the only threat was Suarez and Huth and Shawcross managed him well. Not sure if you are aware but Johnny Walters is an Evertonian and up's his game for these matches. Got the winner last season and again this season, bet he is enjoying himself tonight!
Well, I thought Waddo my (fellow Stokie) put his views across very well. So, if we(Stoke) are **** Pulis is what and us boring. Thank God I don't support Liverpool. The tables don't lie it seem's a few Liverpool fans can't come back with anything other than insults? Oh well. Look on the brightside, at least one team in Liverpool is doing well. and Doodaydidaa whatever your name is.. I look forward to your next P.M. Let's hope the mods do not cut you nuts off and hang em out to dry.. Can you actually type anything without using swear words or do you just pratice more than most.
But that's my point. If we are **** and keep beating you, you are obviously a whole lot ****ter I've got some good Liverpool mates that texted me tonight saying how piss poor you were so I won't heap it on lads as nobody likes to lose! Happy New year!
What's my point? See Waddo's last post If we are **** etc And, I was replying to another Liverpool fan who PMd me not you. Seem's he can swear like a guddun but does not have the balls to say anything remotly logical. so all the best for the rest.
Said it before but the tactics aren't right. The defence and Lucas are exposed on the counters which makes us looks vulnerable on every attack. We are committing to many men forward; the front 3, the 2 CM's and the full backs. That's leaves Srktel, Agger and Lucas to defend against counters. In this match, we made 3 defensive errors and we were punished. Pretty lifeless performance. Our attack is toothless without Enrique on the wing, problem is that we don't have a left back so I would move Glen to LB and bring Wisdom back. Suarez may not have had the best game but he won the penalty and he chases down everything. We are seriously asking him to do everything; score, create and win back the ball. Few people are praising Gerrard but I don't see it. Played very well last week against a poor Fulham side which gave him time and space. Back to being crap today whilst Shelvey was truly awful and should surely confirm to everyone that he simply isn't ready for first team action yet. Downing was decent but not enough to convince me that we should keep him for the future. What does Rodgers need to do? We need strikers and attackers - hopefully Ince and Sturridge can provide us with the same penetration and drive that Enrique does. But then we actually need a natural striker. That's the front 3 sorted. Then we need a central midfield. Lucas is the DM and then we have 2 more spaces to fill. Suso will secure a place in the future as the CM just behind the striker. But then we need a real physical presence - a box to box midfielder with high energy and steel.
You Stoke fans really have no class do you? You don't go on another teams board when they're clearly pissed off and talk about how great a win it was for you and how you're better because higher in the league. You're all just wums. The only reason you should go to the oppositions match thread after a match is to offer congratulations or condolences and discuss the match without rubbing people up the wrong way. And if you do win then at least have some class to wait the next day when emotions have settled.
this coming from you?, ha ha ha you are the biggest tool on this entire forum. The fact of the matter is we played better on the night and so deserve 3 points. We also played some good stuff at times. It seems a lot of people jump on the "stoke are **** and all they do is hoof it" bandwagon instead of having their own opinion. Last night we didnt give you time to pass the ball, if we had then it would have been a different result. Tony Pulis got his tactics spot on!!. Happy new year
how you havnt been banned from the Liverpool board amazes me, you bring nothing to the discussions other than childish remarks. Pathetic
That has the be the best over reaction ever, it's a forum get a grip I'm sure Liverpool will be on the up soon. (Is that better )
I thought he was looking for 2 penalties, he really should of been booked for that as the tug on the shirt was enough but smacking your face off the ball is a bit OTT.
I can see it went tits up in here last night Most people congratulated Stoke and admitted they were the better team, I don't like how they play but I admire their commitment and tracking down. Doesn't mean how they play is wrong, their is no right or wrong way to play football, and they've took 4 points of us this season so can't have to many complaints. Still, we'll see where both teams end up at the end of the season and go from there. For now BR needs to try to work out how to play against the more direct physical teams, Johnson and Enrique are great but they need to learn when to go forward and when not to, luckily for them both they have great recovery pace, we saw it from Enrique a few times last night. Gerrard has got lazy, he'll lose the ball then just stand there with his head down, Shelvey also had the worst game he's had in a red shirt last night. We let Stoke get back in to it to early, then the momentum was with them the whole game.
i don't think we had any momentum all game, they pressed all game from the word go, we never really got going. i don't like the way they play, but they play what they know and to their strengths, have to take it as a compliment that Pullis feared us with the line up he put out, they are not a rich club and most stokies are probably grateful they get to see class players week in week out in the prem. have to remember a lot of teams in the prem have settled teams who know each other and managers who knows what he wants from the players, we are still trying to get it right, some games it works some it don't, think Jan is going to be crucial though as we have some ruddy passengers still in the team, going to be hard to shift some of them. keep the faith lads, top 4 is an unlikely gap to make up but if we can get Europa league again for next season (think its in top 6) its not all doom and gloom as we can still attract decent players to this club as we are still hugely respected in Europe. if we can keep in distance with Spurs and Arsenal we should be ok for top 6 as i think Baggies and Everton will drop a few points(just my opinion), just whether we can get some consistency and the right players in to capitalise on it.
