    To be fair... we all know how good a team Sporting Lisbon's youth is. They've been possibly the best in the world for the past couple of seasons.

    look lads i've said before the youths play at too low a level, they are simply not challenged at all until bang here's a top side away and they get mullered.

    our lads can only develop to the level of competition they have and frankly the u18's have no competition mostly regionally and then the u21s are having it relatively easy too. We need to open the eyes for sure.

    We've some top talent but we have to accelerate them into the u21 level to challenge them in any way and that means lads at the top end there need to be pushed to firsts or out the door..... the is a reaosn i guess why loans are hard for us cos the guys we want to loan are not ready to play even in league 1 sometimes.

    I don't know the solution here but i feel firmly it is all about b teams in the actual league... that's the only thing that will develop true english talent again. some of the best young talent is being bought out of lower leagues cos they get more experience and toughening up. the jack whilshires are rare and we even bought suso, wisdom and sterling!
