think texeira is too old, but im not sure, think jack dunn will be in there with sinclair, but like chris said half the teams missing, coady and ibe maybe involved with 1st 11, I personally dont see an issue with them being involved in this game and them being in the squad on the bench 2moro, its not as if they would be starting
Sporting Lisbon team to face Liverpool. Meira; Riquicho, Semedo, Figueiredo, Pinto; Palhinha, Esgaio, Stojanovic; Mane, Joao, Medeiros
Liverpool team to face Sporting Lisbon. Fulton; McLaughlin, Baio, Sama, Jones; Roddan, Lussey; Dunn, Adorjan, Ibe; Morgan. SUBS: Belford, Maquire, Kent, Peterson, Brannagan, Trickett-Smith & Sinclair.
Alex Inglethorpe has just confirmed that Conor Coady is with the first-team so therefore isn't available tonight. Possible bench slot for the Zenit game?
Would have preferred it to be Ibe, nothin against Coady, but not sure that a holdin mid is what we need with a 2- 0 defecit 2moro
The formation that LFCTV put up seems to indicate that Baio is at right-back with McLaughlin moving across to left-back. Ibe plays the lone striker with Morgan on the right-hand side. Him & Dunn have the opportunity to switch sides though. And we are underway!
No pressure, but Spurs and Chelsea have joined Villa in the next round, knocking out PSG and Barca in the process... Have a stream link: http://nutjob.eu/njtvx3.html Good luck.
And we're losing. Mané with the goal. Played in by the Sporting midfield, Fulton commits himself and Mané chips Fulton before heading the ball into an empty net. 1-0 down.
2-0 down. After Sama saves us with an excellent last-ditch tackle, we don't defend the corner. Think it's Baio who loses his man and a free header for Mané gives Sporting a 2-0 lead.
Finding it hard to watch. 1. Sporting with cynical fouls all over the place 2. Going down every time there is pressure on them 3. Us playing like a team of individuals rather than as a team. Hopefully will improve second half and we can get back into this
Both Ibe and Dunn look dangerous when they have ball, think score is flattering, not out of this yet imo
Since Lussey hit the post, we've looked a lot better. Much more confidence in our play and we're pressing the Sporting defence.
Nice from Lussey, also beautiful turn from Dunn, just prior to that and some great tackles going in from Baio. Next goal is massive.
As much as im not liking many of these Sporting players (and the ref..lol) That Mane is going to be class!
