Agreed. Gerrard is a creative spark but as you say, he won't hustle the opposition and force mistakes. This is why we need either Henderson or Lucas playing behind him. I think Lucas had a niggle which is why Rodgers didn't want to start him but then why play Allen instead of Henderson?? Allen isn't a DM AND he isn't fully fit. It was a bizarre decision but I'm guessing Rodgers was going by Allen's performance against Spurs. Soton were brilliant though - they play good football and they pressed us from start to finish. I like teams like Soton who play attractive football. It annoys me when newly promoted teams resort to boring defensive physical tactics and claim it's the only way to survive.
