Not much more Sturridge could do then.

Good save from the Reading 'keeper!

Simply cannot get past this Reading defence at the moment. Still plenty of time left though!

  10. Once Sturridge bags he will go on a run, just hope its not too far away with us being near the end of the season <laugh>

Reading will go into half time te happier of the two teams. They can't come out playing any worse and we've been careless all half. Abysmal I have to say from us. Reading are a championship side playing terribly and we're still useless

Don't believe all that goalkeeper blinder stuf.

Its our players not doing it quite frankly.

    Chance count:

    Suarez 2
    Sturridge 2
    Coutinho 2
    Carragher
    Gerrard
    Agger

  14. Had this last season, we supposedly came up against an in-form keeper nearly every week. The shot needs to allow the keeper a chance for him to save it, if the shot is in the corner then the keeper rarely saves it.

Yup 100% we're giving them more chances to save and they're attacking our striker limp efforts.

Still think if we get 1 we could get a few.

Also, if you let the keeper have a few saveable shots early in the game they'll get into it and be able to make harder ones later on. If the first or second shot is an absolute bullet the keeper is less likely to save it than if it's the tenth shot and they're already warmed up and in the zone.

  17. Depends how long it takes us to get that one. After the first half, I'm inclined to predict a 0-0 or 1-0

  18. Absolutely. Used to play in net at five-a-side and it was always like that for me, a good early save or two boost your confidence <ok>

A point isn't enough for Reading. They need three to stand any chance of staying up in my opinion.

That should see them go forward more and that would give us the opportunity to catch them on the counter-attack.

Still plenty of time left and i'm still confident we'll get the three points!

  20. They'd rather get a point then nothing too though. I expect them to stay the same and hope for a break. As much as they would like and need the points, this is not one of the games they will be relying on to get points from.
