Bad news, tears are usually about 6 weeks. Big blow, Johnson to RB and Wisdom in for me.

Forget about Wisdom RB & Johnson LB as an option!

That does seem the most likely and hopefully Rodgers uses that as i'm not the only one who doesn't like Downing at left-back.

Big blow losing Enrique though. If he is out for six weeks or so, he would miss a fair few big games:

    • Sunderland (H)
    • Mansfield Town (A)
    • Manchester United (A)
    • Norwich City (H)
    • Arsenal (A)
    • Manchester City (A)
    • West Bromwich Albion (H)

Some massive games there. Hopefully it isn't as serious as it sounds and he returns as soon as possible!

Thank **** we got a win, lets hope we can build on this.

I'd like to see Robinson given a go in the team and really dont want Downing at lb.

Thought the first halfe were excellent. Thought it was a shame we didn't kick on and play in the same way in the second half as QPR were there for a hammering by 5 or 6 but 3 goals and a clean sheet can't be scoffed at. Think it was only natural to ease off a bit and QPR's change of formation meant that we had less time on the ball, even though they still rarely threatened us.

Consistency is the key word now - in this little mini league that is from 4th - 10th it seems like 2 or 3 wins can easily move you up into the mix, where as a couple of defeats can have the opposite effect. We are hovering around a similar place as we are win, lose, win at the moment.

Gutted about Enrique, if he is going to be out for 6 weeks or so, do we need to get a new LB in Jan, be it even on loan? I really hope Downing isn't seen as the player to replace him for this period. I'd much rather Johnson move across and have Wisdom at RB (what's happened to him by the way?).

Overall, a good way to sign off the year and hopefully 2013 will bring bter fortunes than 2012 has, starting with making Anfield a fortress that teams dread coming to play at. United win half their home games before the match starts by getting into players heads that teams struggle there, we need to make it a similar situation when they visit Anfield.

    Koala Tea <laugh>

Enjoyed the first half today, second was a non event in the end but I don't mind that with a lot of games coming up. Did we play very well or were QPR just even more abject than we thought they'd be? I suspect the latter but a good result never the less. Another couple in the bag for Suarez, a clean sheet and a performance that should give Allen and especially Henderson a bit more confidence. Johnson was solid yet again and Gerrard too, Reina had probably his most comfortable game of the season. If only we could play QPR every week <ok>

Gutted about Enrique though, he's been excellent for the last couple of months and will be missed. I agree with Gonz that we could do worse than have Robbo there and if not bring Wisdom back in at RB. Downing's been doing ok further forward so leave him there.

Few thoughts which I imagine everyone has shared already, making this an exercise in hot air...

Hendo - was everywhere in the first half. Showed he can come in and play. Would rather have him and/or Allen with Stevie than Shelvey. He provides balance, which Shelvey doesn't. Unlucky not to score.

Downing - actually finally looks half decent. Clearly needs confidence, think he's finally getting some. If he can come in against sides like QPR then he has a use until we can get better players.

Our goals were scored by our two best players.

  20. I think MOTD2 have got spot on, QPR were very poor and more or less let us win. It was the same against Fulham too. Villa and Stoke turned up to play and look what happened. Today's game, result and performance changes nothing for me, nothing!
