Exactly, United have a title to fight for and at 2 -0 up they just needed to sit back. Hence SAF's subs. The only part of the performance we need to look at was our attack as all United had to do is defend. It was decent, although frustrating.

Nothing Sturridge did was spectacular- but having that poacher hanging round the net instead of having an extra man deep in midfield changed the game.

Had we played with Sturry, Stirling, and Suarez at the start the result could have been different.

I thought Welbeck had a good game for Utd to be honest- he's going to have a good career. Evra a bloody cheat. Shame they have Van Persie... he's a good player- too likeable to be playing for United. Rooney was anonymous as always- didn't see him have the ball once. ;) That Da Silva bloke kept falling to the ground... almost as if he still had that frozen hotdog stuck in his bum. (still funniest emergency room visit for a footballer ever).

Thought Skrtel and Agger did OK at the back to be honest. Shame Wisdom and Johnson can't defend as well as they can attack (although maybe that's why- because they're forced to run the length of the field instead of concentrating on defence). Gerrard slept through the first half but was good at times in second.

United better first half- we were better second half.

Overall- fair score even if I would have preferred more points. They were more better than us in the first than we were better than them in the second.

Allen really ****ed me off I must say. He just isn't good enough to play games of that calibre imo he gets too nervous and panic passes to no one.

I think sturridge, suarez and sterling/borini to rotate.

Downing to be sold, that flash in the pan game or 2 he had has passed and he offers nothing so sell and replace

Its not all doom and gloom. There are positives to take from the game.

We really must get some points out of City/Arsenal though which is going to be tough.

Need a backlash against Norwich to get our confidence back up and get Danny smashing them in.

Downing just plugs a hole, no more.

Google Rafael Da Silva and Hotdog.

There was a rumour several years ago about him going to the emergency room because he got a frozen hotdog stuck up his bum.

Good game, I felt it should have been over at half time, and we were unlucky not to get a penalty.

Sturridge's goal in the 2nd half did swing the momentum your way, and you did put us under alot of pressure:biggrin:

Downing has ALWAYS been anomonous against the top sides, he wasnt poo, today , he just wasnt involves, not got it mentally, that isnt good enough

Sturridge and Suarez look slike it will work, DS just needs to aim for the back stick not the near post

Andre Wisdom IMO our best player today( if he doesnt play for England I'll eat my hat), maybe its because hes a Leeds lad, but he a stormer against the Manc Scum

milk i certainly heard that one.... i know for a fact that the day it broke ronaldo crashed his car in an "accident" that took all the headlines yet there was no damage to him or the car... conspiracy...

anyway... i can confirm agger ought to be ashamed as rvp made him look precisely as bad as he is at man marking. we've seen from set pieces he isn't staying with poeple but rvp could have had 3/4 off agger not getting tight

utd easily deserved it. tactically we were not at the races and all game downing abandoned wisdom to evra. he was obsessed by stadning in the middle of the pitch. sterling wouldn;t pass it and was just easy to play... we did ok in the centre but generally the gap was easily observable between the teams. 8th v 1st.

BR is a work in progress, and unfortunately we are being the fOkin guinea pig. Rafa over him anyday. The fact we haven't beaten a single top 8 side tells alot about the man

That's when the game was decided anyway! It was utter ****e and we got what anyone who goes to Old Trafford and doesn't show any attacking ambition gets.

The good thing is Rodgers has another two chances at beating a top 4 side away from home in the next few weeks He needs a win at Emirates/Etihad to get everyone back on board and show that we are making progress. Otherwise I fear people will slowly be turning on him, as he'll not be doing any better than Kenny, who was sacked for such performances. Obviously Rodgers hasn't been allowed anywhere near the amount of money of Kenny etc but he needs something like that to keep the support he currently has going IMO.
