Does anyone else think Agger would make a decent CDM for us? Reminds me of Yaya Toure in a way.

We do need another decent CB, I did think at the start that Skrtel should be playing because of Hulk but despite Carra's mistake I thought he played okay.

    Too much to do.

4 clear opportunities denied by poor passes.

the majority of our crosses failed to beat the first man or went into the keepers arms.

Defensive calamity caused by Brendan's mantra of keeping the ball cos otherwise Jamie would have put that into the stand first time with the right peg.

    Magnificent effort tonight. <ok>

Gerrard, Suarez and Jose Enrique outstanding IMO.

How on earth did the referee not see that handball - makes you wonder where they're looking sometimes - is it just a lack of concentration or fear of making the really big, game changing decision?

I don't doubt for a moment the sincerity and eventual success of Rodgers' long term master plan but I'd have to question what place there is in it for Messrs, Allen, Downing and Henderson - three of the most clueless players I've ever seen in a Liverpool shirt.

Yes that's because he had more choice than shelvey, sterling and Suarez. Also Chelsea would have gone to extra time so the urgency to impress with 15 mins to go wasn't there.

Great effort - loads of positives (not least Assaidi)

Further proof however that we lack quality on the bench. Shelvey? Really? I would prefer a knackered Hendo.

Also I've said it before Sterling should be nowhere near our 1st team. And yes I know we have few options but downing is twice the player Sterling is right now (and I'm no Downing fan!)

But all in all it was a great effort - we lost it in Russia.

Gerrard good bad for a lot of the game. Great effort by the team and the midfield and Suarez played well.

But we scored one scrappy goal from play in 180 mins against a team we should be beating.

We have to go unbeaten until the end of the season and give ourselves a good shot of European football next year.

And then have our signings made early in the summer so Luis believes there is something really worth staying for. He has said all the right things, but the whole club, has to perform to ensure we keep him for at least another year.

We have to do our best to keep him, I think he'll stay for another season at least, after that, who knows?!

I really hope so. His passion and skill levels are immense.

Different position, but he has so much in common with Stevie G. A player who leads with his play.

We have to keep him. Thats all im upset about tonight, if we dont make Europe we could lose Luis, terrifies me!

Hoping him Coutinho and Sturridge are going to be deadly until the end of the season. With the likes of Sterling, Suso and Downing getting Cameos in the front 3.

With his performance he put in today, I'd be more than happy for him to captain the team one day <ok>
