    Laudrup: I was LFC fan

    http://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/latest-news/laudrup-i-was-lfc-fan

Swansea boss Michael Laudrup has revealed how visiting Anfield on Wednesday night will be extra special - because he supported Liverpool as a kid.

Laudrup almost joined Liverpool in 1983 after holding talks with Anfield chiefs, but the move collapsed.

Instead, the then 19-year-old moved to Italian side Juventus and never got to play at our famous stadium.

Laudrup said: "Liverpool were my team as a kid. I watched them on television back home in Denmark.

"I loved the team, the atmosphere, but I never got the chance to play there, because Liverpool were banned from Europe for a long time after Heysel.

"I've only been there once, with Spanish television when they played Barcelona a few years ago.

"Now I'm looking forward to being involved there - even on the touchline."

In 16 clashes with Swansea at Anfield in league and cup the Reds have scored 48 goals and conceded seven.

Yeah saw that to. A draw not possible E/T or pens. The 4 people were a bit hasty and did not think it through proper

    Easy mistake to make

Agree, it will give them a boost and play even better as they have seen the likes of Sterling,Suso and Wisdom get 1st team games and what 17-18 year old does not want the same

kind of looking forward to this one "too much" after last nights games. there's no reason to expect a similar goal fest... other than the fact swansea can't defend anymore and neither can we!

After tonight and last night this compeition is going to be wide open. either the mancsd or the chavs will be out, arsenal were nearly out but otehr prem sides fell by the wayside.

I hope we get a result!

Oh and swansea fans will boo rodgers and allen, its only to be expected... and if they didn't i'd call them soft.

I have to agree, this competition is wide open after some of last nights results.

    Bradford
    Leeds
    Middlesbrough
    Aston Villa
    Arsenal
    Scum vs chavs
    Norwich vs Tottenham
    Liverpool vs Swansea

whoever wins tonight, will be very happy with a lot of the possible draws.

    Morning gents.

Last hour in work before i head up for the game.

Going for a 2:1 in or favour. Allen will NOT be booed, he will forever be remembered for good things down here. As for buck, well, just wait and see lol.
