Don't really think there's any combination of our midfield three that works that well. Gerrard doesn't have the legs to burst past players the way he used to, and no one else can even really play that attacking midfield role. Really lack that creativity when we work it through the middle.
We're gracious, we're not going to call it a ''Mickey Mouse Cup'' now that we're out, unlike supporters of other clubs.
Keep your knickers on welshy I just meant it wasn't your strongest team that's all did you not bother to read the bit where I said you fully deserved it?
Suarez is brilliant but he takes on the defenders way to much, and it often leads to counter attacks. I wouldn't want him to cut it out of his game because we need players who aren't afraid to take people on, but he needs to learn when to pass it and believe in some one else, we're relying way to heavily on Suarez at the moment.
Bugger! Swansea were the best team for vast stretches of that game and thoroughly deserve the win. Hopefully, we can win when it counts in 3 weeks time, or so. Good luck in the cup Swans!
Think you've hit the nail on the head here I think when Lucas is back we will see a whole new side to Joe Allen as he will be able to push forward a bit more to always be available and slot through balls. Until then it really doesn't gel too well as the 3 that get chosen don't seem to know their roles.
Been great banter and debate on this thread, wish to thank chris for doing such a great job, and inviting us Jacks across, very much appreciated! You boys have the makings of a great team, and it looks as if your on the road to recovery, shame you have Borini injured, but your going in the right direction in my view, you have some real talent coming through in Suso and Stirling, looks like we are your Bogey team, not complaining, all the best for the rest of the season, except for when you play us!....
Good game NOF, yours. Thought you'd won it until that wooton lad's hash. that's the CC - younsters sink or swim. hate fergie, but he'll support the lad.
This I don't want to say I told you so..earlier in the Suarez thread. He is a decent player but a poor striker. You will win big on occasions but you will lose points and matches because of his missed chances
I would say that once he scores a few and gains more confidence he might improve. However, he has scored a few already this season (second in the overall scoring charts) and he doesn't seem to lack confidence considering he constantly skins people!
I have an apology to make to all RedMen. My last post on here indicated that we were moving towards stable beams in the LHC. Therefore it looked like a win was in store. However, at some point shortly after that post they ramped down at CERN, so no stab;le beams and no win. Congrats to the Swansea boys. Thoroughly deserved win. Good luck in the rest of the comp. You can forget about united as well
