Grim. Swansea fully deserved the victory and congratulations to them. We weren't good enough and didn't deserve to go through. That means we've lost the League Cup () and now we've got the three competitions to focus on. Hopefully we'll see a response in the Newcastle game on Sunday.

In a way I'm glad their's no massive talking points to open 5 threads about untill Sunday, would of like to of banished the bad feeling from Sunday with a win but we were beaten by a good team who played well, and I can accept that
Playing that badly is a big deal to me mate whatever the competition. Losing at home so easily is a really bad sign. Such a lack of being able to do the basics right is criminal...and worrying.
We were ****e tonight. Swansea very good. Hope they go on and win it now. They deserve it more than anyother club left in the thing and I feel they'd appreciate it more than some of the other clubs that are still in the thing.

third goal was a break away goal after liverpool put us under pressure for the equalizer...it killed the game off. overall i thought we were the better side and deserved our victory in the end...a very entertaining game by both sides....good luck against the toon......we have chelsea at home >>>>>see you at the liberty in 3 weeks time where we will see another entertaining game..
The squad has a small amount of deadwood in it, but it also has a lot of quality. We need to do two things, add more players of the standard we signed in the summer (I'm 100% convinced Borini will become a very good player), and just get rid of one or two more. Overall l'm convinced the future is bright.
