I can see Yesil on bench, and Downing and Cole NOT,Cole may sneek on the bench but Id be amazed if Downings on there, and he can blame nobody but himself. At last we have a manager who picks the team on merit
Due to internationals and mizing it up I can see this ( not what I would pick for all but can see it). ---------Gk Jones/pepe----------- JOhnson-Skrtel--Agger---Robinson -----Allen---Sahin----- -------Gerrard/Shelvey---- Downing---Suarez----Assaidi With obviously Suso, Sterling, Shelvey could be slotted in, Carra could always come in and push (gulp) Skrtel out wide, Yesil could possibly be given time, Hendo could also feature as well. ****, could put Coates in and have Agger at LB if not comfortable with Robinson?
I like him out wide as well but can see him being played through to accomadate Downing and Assaidi who have fresh legs and eager to impress/win spot back/ Assaidi continue to get fit. The LB/RB spot will be interesting and he could keep it simple with Robinson slotting in or re-arranging the backline ( which I think would see us leak more goals). Forgot all about Cole and he could well play as he too has fresh legs and point to prove. Reading at home, if you can't do it then......
Reina is touch and go. Could be Jones in goal. -----------------GK----------------- -Wisdom-Skrtel-Agger-Johnson-- ------Gerrard-------Allen---------- ---------------Sahin---------------- ----Suso----Suarez---Sterling---- The 4's in attack.

--------------Pepe--------------- Wisdom - Coates - Agger - Johnson --------------Allen--------------- ------Sahin--------Shelvey------- -----Suarez--------Sterling------- -------------Yesil---------------- Don't tell Rodgers, he'll only nick my formation and use it as his own.
Will you be leaving with 5 minutes to go, to "get to your car" and "avoid the rush".. Oh sorry, that's the Kemlyn stand
Hi guys, and firstly, I'm the 'culprit' of the Reading literary stuff from our side! The RR link you have given is to our 'open' part of the site (guest writers welcome), but the actual match thread - much longer than the Not 606 one - is actually here: http://royalsrendezvous.co.uk/topic/9734486/1 You'll probably enjoy it, as it's long and 85% about Liverpool! Even so, Chris, I admire your presentation a lot - I'm rather more rigid and statistical/historical, without your flowing expression! I think you'll find the general Reading fan friendly, and none too fickle. Promotion almost took us unawares, at this stage of the season last year we were floating around the relegation places, and not in our wildest dreams did we think we'd be anywhere near challenging for promotion play-offs let alone win the championship division. On top of that, many of the more established fans - I've been hooked since the late 70s - remember the team in the old 3rd, and even 4th divisions, so we're hardly an arrogant bunch by nature - little 'ol Reading and all that. But I'm keen to distance ourselves from the London teams; I don't like the London domination of the south-east, which means I'm in favour of the Thames Valley having its own identity developed much further than it is at present. And there is a bit of indentity problem with Reading FC itself. True, you always get a few 'plastics' when you start to do better, but it's deeper than that. Traditionally being the rivals of Oxford, Aldershot and Swindon (in any order...), we haven't seen any of them competively for over a decade now, yet Saints and QPR and Chelsea - the next nearest - are too far away to be considered new local rivals. Still, being virtually rival-less is not a bad thing, one blessing is that we're generally received generously on other fan fan forums. Regarding the game today, well, it could go any way, but the most likely if I'm honest is a home win. But just out of blind loyalty I'm going for a narrow 1-0 away win - heart not head. If we turn out like we did against Spurs, Swansea, WBA there's not much hope; yet on occasions there is a flicker of quality shining through - we gave a good showing against Chelsea, taking the game to them and leading for a long spell, and were desperately unlucky against Newcastle too. Having said that, we're new boys - a cosy 15th to 17th would be all that we ask for this season. Hope it's a great game, and no whinging if we lose, nor gloating if we win !
If you can't beat this lot you are doomed (their point against us was the luckiest point I've seen gained at the liberty...ever!). Saying that I do hope Reading can stay up, so good luck Reading.
not to worry we can play each other i nthe championship then terror.. .you bored again are you? Laudrup now on the bibs.. looks like assaidi starts, stelring dropped. and sahin had better be disciplined... only soft lads wear tracksuit bottoms in this weather!
Yes! Game day!!! Think we might line up like this today. -------------------------Reina? Wisdom-------Skrtel---------Agger------Johnson ------------Gerrard----------------Allen-------------- --------------------------Sahin-------------------------- --------Shelvey--------Suarez--------Sterling--------
