Despite being crap, Downing is understandable. Borini is returning from injury isn't match fit and Sterling in desperately in need a of a rest.
Jones & Carragher worry me a bit. Reina has a thigh injury, not sure about Skrtel though? I like the midfield though and nice to see S&S starting upfront together.
Interesting team! No Skrtel, Allen, Reina or Sterling starting! Good midfield trio of Henderson, Lucas and Gerrard, plenty of balance there. Carragher isn't as bad as most people make out, hopefully he'll have a solid game. Interesting to see who out of Sturridge and Suarez players in the center, or perhaps Suarez behind Sturridge and vise versa.
this has totally blown the bib theory eh? of course its exponents will say it was last minute injurys.... but mr downing as in green and we all saw it. anyway the sate of the bench! ah well norwich will have three right donkeys to expolit at least... should make for a good game if you play in green and yellow... and no there's no clean sheet today. That's true, but they're without Bassong and I popped over to the Canaries board and they said their 2 cb's have never played together before. So things could most definitely get interesting
