I understand being patient and the other team starts to sit in but it is as if we just completely take the foot off and are content with just keeping the ball. And once again Gerrard goes to cross into the box..... not a soul in red in there.
I think it's a belief thing: happened all last year under KD as well. 20 minutes of brilliant attacking then either we'd score & look nervous there after or we'd have that "so what do we do now?" look about us.

Suarez just doesn't bloody look up! 2 free on the right & then everyone stops because they know he will shoot. So no one there for rebound or cross if it miraculously comes!
How can we , for two years at least now, still never get anyone to make runs in the box? Beyond ridiculous.
It makes him predictable to defenders as well. They know he's not passing so double up when he gets the ball.
Allen has just been a bit sloppy, giving the ball away so far. So frustrating when Suarez gets the ball and ends up out wide putting balls into the middle and Sterling/Suso/Sahin/Gerrard are all there watching. Think that's where we miss Borini, he's one player that makes intelligent runs, takes players away and can get into the middle when the balls out wide.
Suso with another pele e mene moment... Caps the player ( flicks ball over him) then gives the ball away needlessly.
They should still make the runs but I can sympathize as he hardly ever choses the pass or cross option!
