Coloccini wasn't sent off for intent, it was dirty. It was a horrible challenge. A straight red was justified.
take no notice of this idiot...I fight Brendan's corner on my board and they don't like it......I shoot them down in flames every time and it gets up their sad noses...all together now AHHHH sad jack Bastard....he should try a bit of humility and be a proper jack Bastard like me......
No bitterness at all. Honestly more than happy with Laudrup, we just find David Brent amusing and Dai even more so. I'm only here cos one of our posters pointed out Dai's post on here and found it hilarious
See... the guy is hilarious (he hears voices in his head and says it's the voice of reason) Anyway, I'll leave you to it. You've got a relegation scrap to worry about so you don't need me making thins worse
He made no contact, so hardly a horrible challenge. Potentially horrible yes, which is why he was sent off for intent.
See! This at least is a proper wind up the rival approach. And yes I meant that. You are rivals despite what others here might like to think. Cheers!
Colo did it intentionally, Suarez flicks the ball on before Colo evens moves his leg. There is a clear change in movement into a stamp type motion. He was sent off for being a dirty ****! Sterlings tackle was a genuine attempt to get the ball which he wasn't a million miles away from doing (he may have even got the ball), it was the lunging part that wasn't 'legal' and he was rightly told so by the ref. He should have been booked too but no more.
I rest my case...he is one of many idiots on our board who spend their day slagging off any team we play and especially Brendan and Liverpool and before you lot it was Martinez and wigan.....They wont get away with it with me and they go ape **** and call me every name under the sun and they think it worries me... sad i know but that's what some of them are like. we have lost so many posters on our board because they are fed up of the childish slagging off towards anyone really. I have tried to educate them in talking football and staying on the facts but sadly to no avail...they still talk bollox....
I'm not on about sterling's challenge on Cisse mate, I'm on about when Simpson fouled him second half and he kicked/lashed out, by the letter of the law it's a red even though he made no contact with Simpson, because he intentionally kicked out at him. Bit in bold above supports my claim, there was intent to make contact, but no contact was made, he was therefore sent off for intent, due to this Sterling should have seen red for for kicking out, because he intended to make contact but didn't.
you're right, Then I'd be as stupid as Gerrard. Newcastle looked badly gash today though, I don't see them as top 4 competitors from the first ten games anyway. January transfer window could play a big part in your season.
We were poor today, we've been poor all season. For whatever reason Pardew has us playing long ball with players like Ben Arfa, Cabaye, Ba etc. When we move it on the deck we're a decent side, sadly we rarely do that these days. Having said that we've been sh*t all year, you've been class and we're only three points off you. So I could flip it and say when we actually hit form and you lose form (both should happen at some point) then there's a good chance we'll be in the mix for a European place.
I really felt sorry for Pardew. There he was desperately trying to find some reason by which to mitigate Coloccinin's tackle and he couldn't fall back on the 'Suarez' excuse. So he came out with a limp "he's not that type of player" - oh YES HE IS!
Thought pardew did well in his interview question re the sending off, at least he didnt go down the shytebag route taken by other managers and blame suarez for all of the worlds ills.

Pardew doesn't usually come out and try and defend the indefensible (unlike most premiership managers) but he generally stops short of castigating his own players (which would be poor management I think you'd agree). He was openly critical of Tiote a couple of weeks ago for getting sent off and in fairness the Colo incident warrented a red card (in my opinion) but some of the talk on here about "serious injuries" are over the top. He didn't make much contact at all. As for the "if he had done that to his knee it could have ended his career" comment - yes, yes it could have. Also, if he had taken out a gun and shot him in the face it could have ended his life. He didn't though. ps. Nice photos Chris. Where is Pardew's right hand there? The start of a beautiful friendship...
