No, made up, much prefer Coates to Carra, no he may not be perfect, but without playing time, how will he improve?

This Stoke Arsenal game is boring as ****. Only good things are Geoff Cameron playing and Beogvic with a ( hopefully) clean sheet. <ok>

Anyone know how City will line up? Rodwell playing?

Here's a lucky omen. Roberto Mancini has never won at Anfield as a player or a manager.

Liverpool team to face Manchester City.

Reina; Kelly, Skrtel, Coates, Johnson; Lucas, Allen, Gerrard; Borini, Suarez, Sterling.

SUBS: Jones, Enrique, Carroll, Henderson, Carragher, Shelvey, Downing.

So, a couple of interesting selections from Rodgers. Raheem Sterling starts after his impressive performance against Hearts in Europa League. Coates slots into the centre-back alongside Skrtel. Kelly at right-back with Johnson at left-back. Enrique fit enough to be on the bench but not in the starting line-up. Same situation with Carroll.

Strong line up. Shame Assaidi doesn't even make the bench instead of down syndrome though

Hmm would have had assaidi on the bench at least but can see why if he is not quite up to speed.

Great to see BR proved me wrong and started Sterling. Shame to see Downing on the bench ahead of Assaidi though. Glad Adam isn't even on the bench after his ****e performance vs Hearts.

Well, I'm quite suprised Sterling has started but fair play. Shows that if you perform you'll get a game no matter how young you are.

Think this shows that Carragher will be phased out this year and could well be his last. One of biggest games in the season and a coice between him and Coats and Coates get's the nod. Suprised Silva isn't starting for City, think that is a major plus for us. him Aguero & Toure are certainly their most dangerous players.

Arsenal finish 0-0 with Stoke. Good result for us.

Assaidi probably hasn't trained with the squad properly because of the Hearts game.

Manchester City team to face Liverpool.

Hart; Zabaleta, Kompany, K.Toure, Kolarov; Milner, De Jong, Yaya Toure, Nasri; Balotelli, Tevez

SUBS: Pantilimon, Lescott, Savic, Silva, Rodwell, Razak, Dzeko

Some very interesting team news from City. To me, it looks like a standard 4-4-2 with Kolo Toure coming into the centre of the defence and Kolarov coming in at left-back. De Jong also comes in to replace Rodwell in the centre of the park with Milner on the right side instead of Silva. Balotelli joins Tevez in attack.

Or maybe it's three at the back (Zabaleta, Kompany & K.Toure) with Kolarov on the left of midfield, Milner, De Jong & Yaya Toure in the middle with Nasri on the right.

Not 100% sure at the moment!

Hope City's loose cannon does his normal thing and goes missing when things don't go his way .He might even get himself sent off

Very excited for Sterling. Think Coates is a definite future for the club and fits more in the Rodgers style as he can play with the ball at his feet. My only worry with Coates is the fact he tends to get caught trying to play offside too often

Showing a sneak peek of Being Liverpool and in the training. When they had the 11 a side game back in US and Rodgers is not happy AT ALL with Sterling ( little snide comment). Then goes on about the attitude that needs to change with the kids and picks out Adam Morgan on what the right attitude is. The team that lost that game lost their win bonus for that game.

He was not happy with a "Steady" comment by Sterling. <laugh>
