By winning this we have qualified as a fastest loser.

    At the expense of Spurs??

No, the 4 3rd placed teams through are Liverpool, spurs, cheski and PSV, Marsielle out as stated by chris in the preview.

Good to see we have scored the most goals though, hopefully the first team will take note!

Brilliant performce from the young lads!! Ryan McLaughlin is fast becoming one of my favourite youth team player - electric pace, not afraid to take on his man and can run with the ball.

I think right back position is sorted with the likes of Johnson and Wisdom and now McLaughlin. I don't think Flanagan will get a look in and Kelly seems to be injured most of the time so a move to CB might be better for him?

Jordan Ibe is an immense talent. Dare I say he may be even better Sterling? I know Sterling hasn't exactly set the world alight in terms of output (yet) but the potential in Ibe is frightening.

There was a new kid who I had not seen before - Rossiter? He came on in the 89th minute but everyone seems to be raving about him. Didn't have a lot of time to impress but his first touch involved great skill and slick through ball (which ended in an offside decision)!

The workrate of the lads is phenomonal but it's combined with real skill and talent. I genuinely believe there are a number of lads who could progress into the first team in the near future.

I watched a fair bit of it on lfc.tv and thought to myself, this is looking great for the future of our club.

Some of these kids are almost ready to be considered for the 1st team squad.

That Ibe is a nippy little bugger isn't he? Reminds me of a young Sterling :emoticon-0102-bigsm

Just think - this team doesn't even have Suso, Sterling or Wisdom in it. Even Adam Morgan was missing ...
