@thisisanfield: Strong suggestions that Stewart Downing will start tonight at left back, and Adam Morgan to make full debut up front.

    Afternoon, lads. <ok>

I can see us winning and, after the City game at Anfield, I expect us to be more dominant than in the game at Tyncastle. That being said, I still worry about where the goals are going to come from. Until we get someone, or preferably more than one person, scoring consistently, I can see dominance but a severe lack of goals. Like everyone else, I'd love a very large scoring win for us but I'm going to predict a 1-0 or (at most) 2-0 win. Looking forward to seeing us hopefully push on, performance wise, from our City match. ;)

I must confess, unlike Sterling, I haven't being paying much attention to Morgan, can someone enlighten me as to what we can expect from him if he starts tonight?

Yes; I'm liking that BR is "developing" the development players in the senior team games. I know KD started to but BR has them one year later & can finally get to use a good batch of them!

Can only be good for everybody!

Well, if Downing is going to prove he's a better LB than LW this is where he's going to have to do it but he'd better prove it quickly as he's taking a team place from another promising "development" player in Jack Robinson!

Why the F**k is Gerrard starting. He's not needed to get a result at home against Hearts ffs.

Woy's bound to use him for the upcoming Internationals and the Arsenal game is massive for the top4!

I hope hes just given a 45 min run out, then move Downing up (obviously no one will buy him) to wide right for 2nd half and give Jose another 45 mins.

Would hope the same for Suarez too.

Don't see a problem starting Gerrard. He hasn't been up to speed in the last few matches, so any game time is good for him. Also, i think we may see him on the bench or in a more advanced role on Sunday, as Sahin should come into the midfield of Shelvey and Allen. I like that lineup. Would've liked to see Robbo start but hopefully this means Downing won't play against Arsenal and Sterling will.

If Gerrard needs game time then surely Sahin needs even more. He barely got a kick in all his time at Real, so its a big ask to stick him straight into the Arsenal game.

Gerrard has been off the pace. We need some steel in midfield as well. He'll be fine, he's only 32 remember, he's not 40. He can quite easily play Thursday and Sunday.

Sahin's ineligible as hes not registered yet so ignore my last post.

I Still think both Suarez and Gerrard should of been rested (or on bench) for this game.

I hope your all right and I'm wrong.

Can just see being in front on Sunday, and then Arsenal taking control in the last 20 mins and getting something out of the game.

Surely your not saying that the squad is so ****e that we can't get a result at home to Hearts without Suarez and Gerrard.

We probably couldn't. That is the long and short of it at this time. I think Suarez should be rested, but i want Sterling to start vs Arsenal so he can't play tonight.

If Morgan does start, i think it is an excellent idea to have gerrard on the pitch with him to give him some support and say the right things.....

Gerrard is too old to be playing twice in a week. Maybe Rodders doesn't see him as starting against Arse.

If Lucas weren't injured I could see a trio of Lucas Allen sahin... don't think Shelvey is ready to bump him...

Possible 4-2-4 against arse? No Gerrard?

Would be very bold move.... even for Rodgers
