I am fuming at this loss. But we've shown progress from last season (January onwards) so I'm not going to get too upset at one poor performance.

And if results like this are what forces the owners into making more transfer funds available then I won't be so disappointed come January.

I'd like to see the stats for the game. Of course the only thing that matters is we lost.. At this point I just don't understand how. Perhaps a lack of balance between attack and defense. Ah well, could of been worse I guess.

Is what a Villa fan would say<ok>

  7. Of course we are frustrated and annoyed but what is the point in getting angry etc over something that has happened so many time this and last season? We may as well take the piss out ourselves before the opposition come along and try to do it for us <ok>

  10. I actually think Lucas struggled today, I thought his match fitness showed. He struggled to keep up with their players when they were counter-attacking IMO. Not blaming him, he should have had help but then, with how much we was dominating the game I don't suppose the management felt he needed any. You would have thought they would have clicked on after two or three counters though <ok>

To be fair I think David Moyes would struggle with Joke Hole and the rest of the comedians that your squad consists of anyway no need to have a pop at our players lol Fellaini's obviously mates with Suarez he nutted Shawcross a cracker I think It was a spot of merseyside revenge <ok>

  12. Absolutely. He sits on these boards during in games rather than managing the team and all he cares about is his hair...:emoticon-0147-emo:

I agree, he looked very leggy which isn't really a surprise. Sterling looks a tad predictable at the moment, I feel as if we've majorly over used him, we need to give the lad some rest, I don't get what Suso has done to get completely dropped like he has. I think we play some lovely football up to a point, when we get in to the final third only Suarez looks alert (who had a bad game today by his high standards). Just need to bounce back against Fulham and Stoke, still only five points behind fourth but it's so frustrating that it's not two.

But yes i do agree with most of what you mentioned. Gerrard looks way past his best and the summer signings, oh well i'll not go there. But some of the decisions BR has been making is just unbelievable. Downing keeps playing left back, and we suddenly have a new found false 9 postion. JOE COLE keeps playing and Sahin has barely been given an opportunity, heck he wasn't even in the squad today. He is fantastic player and it's a shame, the way he's been treated.

  17. Sterling: IMO he thinks too much. When he gets the ball you can see him looking up and you can tell he is thinking what Rodgers wants him to do rather then playing from instinct. When he is in the right position to take on his man he ends up running into trouble because he's waited that split second to make the decision allowing defenders to get back. It is not his fault and I agree he needs resting but who else plays? There are three more December games so I reckon he will play all of them, hopefully we can get one or two players in early to help out <ok>

Suso: I think he suffers from the way the teams currently plays. Suso is not one for running through a defense and scoring him self, he does not possess a particularly great shot from distance. He has very good feet but likes to pick holes in a defense to play someone else in. At the minute we do not have enough players looking to get into the box or run onto the end of things. Maybe if we get one or two goal scoring wide players in we will see more of Suso who will be able to feed them. I have said in the past that I think Suso is the best option as a F9 when Suarez is out <ok>
