Liverpool by far the best side so far. One mistake, one nil. As usual.

    Correct decision was reached though.

Don't care if the studs created a swirl of wind to deflect the ball. Webb guessed that decision, had it been Utd/Young it would have been given.

We're kicking into the KOP second half..I can see us scoring two, once Brendan gives the players a kick up the arse.

I think we are playing fairly well. Borini is working hard and sterling is our best player. Unlucky not to score . wasnt a pen. Stevie g and louis first touch is annoying. Lack of a striker is so obvious.

Thank the lord for Joe Allan
Gerrard and Suarez have both been ****ing abysmal, should be fined for every time they lose the ball
The only way we look like scoring is if a 17 year old pulls something out the hat

Sahin has been quiet - guess that was expected in his first appearence for us. Chances of Gerrard coming off and Shelvey coming on?

This isn't good enough, we're playing some attractive football but as per usual, not making them most of any opportunity.

Steven Gerrard needs to get back to basics and stop the ball before playing the pass. He doesn't put it under control and look for the pass, instead he just knocks it wherever.

Suarez always seems like he lacks balance and flings about instead of staying on his feet or generally maintaining his balance.

In my opinion, Assaidi should have started ahead of Raheem Sterling who seems to have just been thrown into the deep end, we'll risk burning him out if we keep playing him.

The midfield need to do more to cover the defense and Enrique needs to be told to stay away from the final third because his decision making and general play there has been just awful.

It was the correct decision, Mertesacker got the ball.

Quiet, but he hardly controls the ball. He just does a beautiful flick on and opens up a new attack. Looks good, would like to see more of him 2nd half.

Still can't see why a CF (Borini) is being played RW when a RW (Suarez) Is being played CF. Madness. Our biggest threat by far and a way is Sterling. Gerrard and Suarez have been ****e to say the least. No desire, no guile, pathetic. Gerrard needs to be a sub occasionally to show him he can't just play **** and expect to start every week.

The really annoying thing is that if we don't at least get a point Rodgers will be under pressure. There is nothing he can do when someone like Stevie G makes such an elementary mistake.

Why would SAF pay a ref to turn down a penalty against one of our proper rivals? <whistle>

Agreed. 1 silly mistake from Skrtel against WB made it 2-0. Silly mistake from Kelly/Reina made it 1-1 against City then another from Skrtel made it 2-2 against City and now Gerrard giving the ball away (although they still had a lot to do from there to score).

Apart from Gera's brilliant goal none of them have been down to poor coaching, just individual mistakes which you can't do much about from a managers perspective.

Stick Shelvey on for Gerrard; Gerrard is just not doing very well.
