have just started watching. Inter look good. We look a bit like what we are, which is a combination of two sides.....We will improve as the tournament goes on though as last year.
Inter could and probably should be 3-1 up. Inter striker has the ball, around 6 yards out, on the right-hand side of the six-yard box and somehow puts it wide of the left-hand post! Big let-off for Liverpool.
Game over. A good move from Inter's midfield allows an Inter player to finish from a tight angle. 3-1 and it looks over now.
Maybe a little bit of hope? Adorjan gets his second of the game by hitting a superb free-kick into the net. A few minutes left... 3-2.
Well that was close. Good hustle and never-say-die attitude from the boys but Inter were the better team on the day. We can improve on this display and I'm sure we'll get some wins.
Full-Time: Inter Milan 3-2 Liverpool. It's always disappointing to lose but from what I saw, Inter were better. Probably deserved the three points in the end. Good to see Adorjan getting a double and that should give him some confidence going into the rest of the tournament.
The pitch looked like it was in a heap. I thought Inter were a lot better than that, they looked very good last season but maybe some of them are overage this year. I would expcet us to beat them at home, especially if its a cold wet night.
Read somewhere that Adorjan now has 4 goals from the position just behind the front man this season. Seeing the likes of Sterling, Suso, Coady, Wisdom & Yesil going on the trip to Switzerland and possibly getting some first-team action shows that Rodgers will include players in the first-team picture if they do well in the reserves. If he keeps this sort of form up, he'll certainly get in & around the first-team in the near future. (Training with the first team etc.)
Good news. We need goals, wherever they can come from. Don't want us to ruin our youth by playing them too early but needs must ...
Not a bad performance considering half the team play for the U18s and the other half for the u21s. We also had some really young guys on the pitch like Sinclair and its all good experience. Not a bad result away to last years winners. Good to see Adorjan doing well
Must agree, we deserved to lose. The game was quite scrappy at times, but so was the school football pitch they were on. Thought the nextgen was getting good support? They could at least play in the training ground of inter or something. Whoever partnered Sama was at fault for the first. Adorjan is getting those goals, how old is he now?
