Kirkland is why we should make sure if we do go after Butland that we take the proper steps ( like City did with Hart) to make sure he maximizes his growth and doesn't get stunted. 13 millionm blown on keepers, excellent.
Just for the record on Assaidi... He is cup-tied tonight but people have been saying he would be allowed to play in the group stages should we qualify. I have gone along with this assuming that Heerenveen had already been eliminated. However, i have just noticed that they are playing Molde in the third qualifying round. If Heerenveen get through to the group stages, Assaidi WILL NOT be allowed to play for us as he will remain cup-tied. This would be the same no matter whether either club was involved in the Champions League too. In short, a player can play for one team in the qualifying rounds but only a second team AFTER the qualifiers should the first team be eliminated prior to qualifying for the tournament I think others will join me in hoping for a Molde win...
Molde who are managed by Solskjaer? To be fair though, he was class for United, kept his head low, worked hard, kind of tough to hate on him, even if he played for the scum.
Atromitos finished fourth in the Greek Super League last season by the way - behind Olympiakos, Panathinaikos and PAOK. They did only score 32 times in their 30 league games though so maybe we are in for a stalemate here.
Solskjaer was a LFC fans before signin for scum, as was John O Shea n Dwight Yorke Mind you believe Ronnie Whelan was a big scum fan
Yep, we were interested in him and were close to signing him prior to Man Utd coming in. Not sure about the 'LFC fan' bit, a lot of players say this to please the fans and, although there are a lot of Norwegian LFC fans, it wouldn't make sense for him to have the chance to join a club he is a fan of only to join their rivals
Confirmed LFC team: Reina, Robinson, Carragher, Agger, Kelly, Henderson, Spearing, Adam, Shelvey, Sterling, Borini Subs: Jones, Coates, Downing, Lucas, Allen, Flanagan, Morgan ...............................No Carroll................ not even on the bench!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Reina Kelly - Carra - Ager - Robbo Hendo - Spearing- Adam Shelvey - Borini - Sterling Henderson and Shelvey to interchange OR Reina Kelly - Carra - Ager - Robbo Spearing- Adam Hendo - Shelvey - Sterling Borini With the three having freedom to move and swap around
Liverpool team to face Hearts. Reina; Kelly, Carragher, Agger, Robinson; Henderson, Spearing, Adam; Shelvey, Sterling, Borini SUBS: Jones, Flanagan, Coates, Lucas, Allen, Downing, Morgan So, no Carroll in the 18 tonight. He did have a minor injury that was mentioned by Rodgers in the pre-match press conference and that has kept him out. Agger starts alongside Carragher with Kelly at right-back & Robinson at left-back. Sterling gets his first competitve start for Liverpool in the front three.
Did Carroll play any part in the last round...? Just wondering if this stops him being cup-tied should he move to Newcastle.
For me it means hes startin v Citeh on Sunday, unlikely but possible OR A LOT MORE LIKELY A deal to go elsewhere ... is close
