    Krul was nothing less than brilliant. He made himself massive and got behind everything. Definitely #1 for the season.

    This. He was sensational! Best save was from the almost embarrassing own goal of Taylor when Colo blasted it off him from about 3 yards.

    Another frenchy. And probably a direct replacement for Joseph B, would rather spend the money on giving Barton his contract.

    Looked around but didn't see anybody from not606 at the back. Nearly went up a level myself because I was getting my ear bent by an old girl that didn't stop nattering from the time the game started till the final whistle, when I shot out as fast as my legs would carry me. I go to the game to watch football not have a running commentary from somebody that thinks she knows everything about the game but actually knows sod all about it. Got a pic of some of the upper level that you or TC might be on. I'll d/l them in a few minutes and maybe put one or two up if they seem suitable.

    Depends on what the difference in the contract is really. The way we play now (or want to by the looks of things) involves two proper wingers rather than having only Jonas as an outlet then switching to Barton for a ball into the box, which was effective but very one dimensional especially after Carroll went. I see Cabaye as the direct replacement for the Barton in the middle, leaving us short one right winger which Obertan provides. Obviously I'd rather have both, but a new signing is a positive step while all this contract wrangling is going on.

    Was raining heavy all morning, but it got to the stage in the game when the ball just went 'plop' as it hit the ground and stuck in a pool of water and the ref just waved his arms as if to say, "That's it guy's, enough is enough"!
