    I will be so pissed off if Pardew doesn't make any immediate changes... although the guys on Fox were saying that AP was chatting to Obertan.

    What about Gosling anyone? He was one of our best players on the US tour...

    Gosling and Tiote as DM's, then let Cabaye wonder forward with Obertan on for Shola?

    He was giving instructions to Obertan before the whistle went so I expect to see him come on, which is good because we lack pace to stay in this game right now.

    Coloccini and Saylor looking solid. Simpson and Raylor look exposed and uncomfortable with Arshavin/Gibbs and Gervinho/Sagna.

    Tiote hasn't been booked yet and looked solid. Cabaye is a passenger at present and hasn't looked himself.
    Barton has been too central and Gutierrez has.... ran. Ameobi is too far away from Ba at times and Ba has been on the last man, not really getting any service to brag about.

    There's no pressure from the team overall and the defense are by-passing the playmakers in midfield with long balls. No pace either, everything is being done without any urgency.

    Either Obertan on just behind Ba, or put Ba up front on his own and have a 5 man midfield, with Obertan and Jonas on the wings, and Barton, Tiote and Cabaye in the middle.

    Depending on how the match goes, bring Gosling on for one of the CM 3 nearer the end.

    Yeah it showed them talking just before the end of the half. Reckon the switch might be made at half time

    Knowing our luck though, it'll be Ba that comes off <doh>

    Bless him for trying but Shola has to come off, so frustrating to watch and that 45 mins is a clear indication of how we need someone quick up front, not two gangly legged "big men". no outlet when we're under pressure especially if the two up front can't keep the ball.

    Here's hoping for a better second half!
