Hello. Here I am, back from Manch, oh sorry, London. What a dreadfully expensive place it is. And, I couldn't get a pint of Carling for love or money, apart from in The Royal George near Euston.

I see this thread has been a little busy over the weekend. Any particular reason for this? Ah yes, the match. I'm not going to comment on the hubris surrounding the controversial goings-on. All I will say on the subject is that united weren't as dominant as they seem to think they were, particularly in the first half. Overall, it was a poor game.

Just one other little thing. I am reliably informed that Luis Suarez will be going in the summer. This will not be announced publicly as it would adversely affect his sale price. He'll be difficult and expensive to replace, but that is what the yanks want, so that's what they'll get.

I can publicly announce that there is nothing between me and Swarbs. I'd never two-time SKY + HD. Nor would The Hammerhead <yikes>TM

Downing certainly. He was awful again on Saturday. What's happened to last season's 'top number of assists' player? I just don't get it. Carroll's got a huige amount of work to do, but he is improving.

Business-wise, it was a good trip. I saw some excellent people.

I'm glad the reporter kept objectivity by stating "Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish and Suarez have both issued grovelling apologies for their actions at Old Trafford on Saturday."

i'd like to hear more of said unidentifiable gobber.... they can't even get where it occured very clearly, was it on his way to the tunnel, in the tunnel etc.

we all know what a dirty thing that is so i'd like to hear it clarified by a better source. someone must know who dunnit.

On the United board, we have 1 or 2 members who are intentionally creating cross board threads and making the same articles everyday knowing it will cause arguments.

    No worries mate <ok>

I think all regular Utd board users know if they create a cross board wum thread it will be closed pretty sharpish. Particularly one as blatant as the most recent one.

RHC i was refering to the daily mail thing about the half time scuffle....

I am presuming at this point de gea got involved in with one of the young mascots and couldn't get past him. I don't know from what the daily fail wrote who did the gobbing at him.

None of what has happened, from Suarez's ignorence, to Evra's pettiness to spitting at De Gea is acceptable. But you gotta think, if we were looking in as foreigners at a similar thing happening at Real vs Barca I can't say I'd be too shocked. I'd just think it was an intense rivalry and a lot of hatred/heat between the two teams. Hardly comes close to the deplorable acts of sectarian violence and fan lynching.

let me say three things here honestly and from the heart.

    1. the english manager's post debacle is deeply deeply troubling as you could see the glee with which peopel reacted to capello going. the guy did nothing to anyone but people ccted like he was dirt on thier shoe and fell over backwards for happy harry. I find it distasteful but every player going who slated surez has tweeted they want an english and only an english manager.

    2. suarez is a shameful individual for doing what he did. first you can say this or that but adding the whole thing up you get to a point where you have to wonder if he really did say all evra said he did due to his alter actions. You shouldn't but i think you have to think it somewhere along the line. his actions this weekend in my view were worse given the fact that his intial ones while scummy were two gorwn men at it. this time he had every camera going on him and behaved very badly.

    3. I am suspious of what i can only surmise is total protection for the english player. two foreign lads had to shake hands and one acted shamefully. Terry has given the out at the fa cup game... why??? then v chelsea he came up with a mysterious injury... whats going on here. why is he allowed to go to court in july? ther eis something wrong here and its not clear whos influencing what. chelsea are suffering as its dragging on and most liekly they could fail to qualify for the cl.

all in all hand on heart i think the double and triple standards at play are obscene. Suarez got everything he deserved but you must feel the whole sport has suffered top to bottom by how badly the rest has been handled. a bit of strong leadership and some new procedures to deal with these things is required post hate.

I think what Capello did wrong was to oversee a shambles that embarrassed the English game at the last world cup finals for which he should have been sacked but was instead handed a new contract. That is why I have been hoping for his dismissal ever since and celebrated it (relatively) when it happened. I think the press agree with me but they have it in their power to hund someone out of their position so tend to behave as such until they get their way then move onto the next victim.

I said in one of the threads over the weekend that I now expect Suarez to leave in the summer and was dismissed, I still think he will. Shame it came to this but it's his own fault, it could have been nipped in the bud right at the start. No more to say one that really, he is his own worst enemy and it's all come to this.

I will say though that you laughing at Fergie saying he didn't know whey we didn't go for three or four is surprising, as that point in the match it looked like we could bury you. Had Rooney not fluffed his hat trick chance we more than likely would have but he didn't, such is football. I can certainly see what Fergie was getting at theough and he wasn't taking the piss there.

Oh and another thing worth mentioning. It's been said that Ferguson is a hypocrite for condemning Suarez yet supporting Cantona in his kung foo kick incident.

Can I just point out that United themselves banned Cantona for that season because of that kick. They didn't condone it, they banned him in the full knowledge that it would harm our title chances. People need to get their facts straight before spouting ****.

Maybe if Liverpool had had a word and meted out some punishment to Suarez instead of backing the un backable then it wouldn't have ever come to this.

I wish Suarez had kung fu kicked someone. it would have provided irrefutable and concrete proof and suarez could just be condemned by the club and accepted a ban. You've gotta admit that when there is little proof and a subjective verdict by the FA then you will always back your player until proven. The same way Chelsea fans back Terry saying he said "no Anton, I didn't call you a ****ing black ****" <doh>. It's in our blood to support our players, as is with most fans in the absence of concrete proof.
