If you don't want piss water ( Miller light, coors, Bud light, etc) then you can get a pint for about 3 normally. If you want the better stuff or imports it cane rise anywhere from 4.50-8 over here depending. Gets ****in pricey if you go after the higher end stuff.

A pub I go to sells Peroni on draught at £4.28 a pint!! It comes in a fancy tall engraved glass which I assumed at that cost came with it so took it home.

Love it or hate it, our local serves a superb pint of Fosters @ £2.55

 

That's about the same here though not many places sell it. The glasses are rather nice too..

 

Probably the only 'piss' lager I can drink on draught. Carling is undrinkable.

I'm ale all the way unless there's a Peroni or Moretti on draught and then I might have one on a sunny day.

 

I can't drink fosters.. It's just tasteless piss along with carling.. Though I don't really like lager its too gassy.. The continental stuff that gets you smashed quickly is ok.. As a rule I will only drink it if no proper ale is available and they have no guiness as a back up..

 

Ruffian, I agree with you about Carling (never have been able to drink it!). At the moment £4.28 even for Carling sounds cheap. I'm still recovering from Oz prices - $12 AU for a pint and $17AU for a packet of ***s! However, in WA there are a lot of micro-breweries producing some interesting beers. Perhaps the best known in the Perth/Fremantle area are Rogers and Little Creatures (I think they export bottled beers to UK) and they are worth a try.

 

Nobody drinks Fosters in Oz.
