    Blackburn could barely hit a barn door against Newcastle but today they have one shot so far and it goes in
    <yikes>

    Good movement to get in the right position, but Blackburn's defense is non existent, terrible awareness and they seem so slow to react.

    Bit rich coming from a fan of the club that's scored half as many goals as us...and considerably fewer than Blackburn <ok>

    Always the same sort of goals though, 70 mins of anti-football followed by a weak Barcelona impression and then a few tap-ins in the closing minutes, by which time most of the manc fans are on the M6.

    I'd say its more to do with Blackburn!

    Surely Kean has to change up his style of play, and notice that Blackburn don't have the players to play expansive football and don't have the defenders to play with no protection from midfield.

    That's a bit harsh. Then again, Liverpool have only scored one goal from open play in the first half this year, so the anti-football accusation may be warranted...

    Very true, but then 6-1 is a bit much, even for Blackburn!

    We've had far more shots though. Obviously means our finishing is ****e, but the build up play must be more exciting.

    Not sure if you've had far more shots than us. Definitely less shots on target. And it doesn't necessarily imply the build up play is more exciting, just that your lot pull the trigger any time they get a sniff of the goal...

    Yeah, but as you're probably aware, we don't do that! How many times have we been on here complaining about Gks making world class saves against us? We wouldn't be that agitated if we were shooting form 25+ yards every time and they were saving them.

    I think the stat was that we've created 42 (?) more chances but scored half the goals you've scored.

    32 extra according to ESPN (380 vs 412). But then we have gotten 11 more shots on target (144 vs 133) and scored 28 more goals. Hence I think you guys are shooting on sight, whether inside or outside the box, rather than waiting for a good chance to come. So you either put it too close to the keeper, hence all the "world class" saves or just miss completely.

    Well I have seen United a few times on Sky, and every time I have gone to sleep. They are the only team that has this effect on me. I just watched West Ham v Millwall and it was a lot more entertaining than the dross your lot serve up! <ok>

    Liverpool games, usually right on the edge of my seat, proper entertainment.

    Perhaps you have success-induced narcilepsy? Do you find the same problem when you watch Chelsea? <whistle>

    As has been said, that isn't the case! You're going on stats alone to try and interpret our style of play. I actually watch us play every week and we have maybe 3 shots from 25 yards or more MAX per game (usually Adam going for the spectacular.) Carroll has missed plenty of chances anyone would scored 9 times out of 10, same with Suarez and Dirk.

    Which is why, as I said, we're ****e at finishing. But there are no problems with our build up play or the chances we're creating.

    That was a big word for a Man U fan. Did you go to school in London by any chance. Chelsea used to be a bit boring too, but seem better under AVB. United just bore teams into submission for 70 mins and then the players rally in the last twenty so they don't have to get covered in fergie's bile.
