We would be in denial if you were actually resurgent. Unfortunately coming 6th or 7th in the league three years in a row doesn't really could as any sort of resurgence in most people's books. In fact, I don't think you'd had a worse set of league positions that that since the mighty Souness was in charge, right?
Well your in denial about your own club too? With the burden of the debt, how are United going to replace the ageing players. The days where you could go out and blow £30 million on a new player is over. That money is used to service the debt. That money you got for Ronaldo cushioned the blow for a while, but that won't happen again.
Unless you offload Rooney to City, guess he will be off as soon as he realises the glory days are over. He will be out quicker than a United fan out of Old Toilet.
Yeah, the days when we could go out and blow £18 million on an untested 20 year old keeper are well and truly over. Oh wait... P.S. Three replies to one of my posts? That must be a record for you baz Well I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt and assuming you won't finish 8th
Well 18 is not 30 is it. Failure this morning Swarbs. Manc maths. You will be telling us United are the country's most successful club in a minute.
Well, when you can challenge for the league with an £18 million player, why would you bother buying a £30+ million player just to challenge for 5th?
Well we all know we are rebuilding, after the set backs of H&G. Fergie has been building (spending) for the last twenty odd years, Kenny has had one. And we are not that far behind. Must hurt that?
At the end of the day, City have gears and have been cruising along in second. United have been flat out all year, surely will have taken it's toll on those ageing legs. United will be lucky to get fourth imo.
I think he's worse (providing of course that he is not the same person). I dont recall KPR getting so religious about it. Feel sorry for him really. He'll be spouting the same **** in a decade.
To be fair to him, he doesn't get as offensive as KPR when he's being shown up. Both are just as blind in their arguments and ignorance of the facts, but when you pointed that out to KPR he would just roll out something completely unrelated and often pretty vile. And you can't feel that sorry for him Julius. I bet he was spouting the same thing a decade ago, so he's obviously had plenty of time to come to terms with it
not that far behind? Newcastle are closer to us, and they have had Ashley bleeding the club dry since 2008. Just don't tell FSG, I'd hate to think what Pardew could achieve with the amount of cash Dalglish got to spend in summer...
Well United fans seem very touchy this morning. We will have to wait and see how City get on later. Might need to avoid this forum for a while if City do not win.
