I perosnally value all european trophies even if utd are not interested in completing thier clean sweep (only english club to do so) but of course now we know that the cup winners cup was worthless in its day and the europa is equally useless now... according to the mancs.
I'd take what he said with a pinch of salt, it looks in jest to me. Obviously our priority has to be the league and so selections for the Europa must be based on the needs of the league but as the competition draws closer I'm thiking we should give it a good shot. In the same way as we do with the Carling Cup, give some youngsters experience but respect the tournament and try to win it. I'd be pissed off if we just chucked in the towel, although this is still tempered by the fact I don't believe we deserve to be given a second chance in europe after our CL efforts.
