Still early days for the King, how long did it take Fergie to win his first trophy? Six years I believe. One or two fans venting after a frustrating draw does not mean Kenny has lost the fans, quite the opposite, most idolise him, rightly so! Nice try, but, epic fail.
OK if you say so Are you KPR?, you write like him PS 7th in the league now, its all down hill for Liverpool
Swarbs about? Not including his bet with RHC, but wondering if he has the numbers of Uniteds run until now and our run until now. Really want to see just how many points we dropped against similar teams. So frustrating.
There are a lot of things to be worried about at present, being a United fan. This Kenny regime is certainly not one of those things, stop making out anybody is even remotely concerned by another merseyside false dawn.
I'm more worried about the resurgent Spurs to be honest. Thus far this season Redknapp has managed to get more league goals from a loan signing that Dalglish has from his £100 million of spending. Gotta wonder what 'arry could achieve if he gets to spend the £30-40 million Spurs will get for CL qualification next season... P.S. KPR? Apparently you've only dropped four points more than us for the exact same set of fixtures: http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/99518-Man-Utd-v-Liverpool-Like-for-like-results-comparison Although that does ignore the fact that we haven't played each other at OT yet, and we've done better in similar fixtures (we beat Swansea away, you drew with them at home etc.). As per usual, you've done better than us thus far against the other big teams, but worse against the mid table and bottom teams.
Could you tell me why? Strip Kenny Dalglish of all that sentimental nonsense and speak to me as though he's just a manager, a manager without every single kopites tongue in his arse.
Kenny Dalglish inherited a side that had been knocked out by league 2 Northampton in the league cup and was 3 points off the relegation zone. 1 year on we are 5 points off 4th and on the verge of being in the Carling cup final. And that's without our three best players playing less than 90 minutes with each other through the season.
But the thing is, you wouldn't have been in that position but for the poor decisions of your board in appointing Roy Hodgson. You really haven't made any progress since the days of Benitez. Plus, Dalglish's decision making has been laughable of late, particularly off the field.
That 4 point difference and we are sitting 1 point off Chelsea instead of 5, seems small but makes a big diffrence.
Three years in fact. I take it back, you can't be KPR, he actually knows something about football Dalglish also inherited a side that was only five points off seventh place, with two games in hand. And here you are, one year later, in seventh place. Not quite as Messianic when you paint it that way...
This, plus as i keep saying we are in the early parts of rebuilding a squad depleted by owners who refused to back Rafa, then we had Roy who came in and made matters worse. We now have new owners, and are nowhere near the finished article, we may see further investment this january and certainly more in the summer. We have a strong squad now and are one or two players short of being contenders. We need the missing piece of the jigsaw, a cataliyst, like when United signed Cantona. It took Fergie six years to win his first trophy, it's too early to judge Kenny properly, so far so good, but by this time next year we will have a much clearer idea of just how far we have progressed. Good owners, good manager + little time = success. If Rafa was backed properly a few years back, we would have pushed on from our seccond place finish and won a few titles.
Do you really think that United fans fear Liverpool ? We enjoy a good rivalry with you but we fear you as much as say kittens, ponys or carebears
We should be in that good run of fixtures we had, but we were not, lacked cutting edge, and just basically seem to lack that winning mentality. Big reason why I do want us to win the CC as it can help improve our winning mentality and maybe give us that spark back.
