Berb, can I request you not try and start a debate in the Match thread? With tensions reaching their climax I don't want to have to siff through pages of "Suarez is a racist and heres why" posts. Feel free to post in the thread at your own free will, but stay on topic? I'll give you a sticker
Eh? I haven't mentioned Suarez in any match thread and I haven't accused him of being a racist. Having said that, I can understand the Liverpool players wanting to support their team mate but I think wearing t-shirts showing support for a player found guilty of racially abusing an opponent seems rather ill advised.
I don't tend to drop in here too often but a quick message to utd and lfc fans. Generic Suarez is a racist/Suarez isn't a racist threads will now be deleted. There is a thread for the subject and there is a banter thread for wumming/banter. Lets leave it like this as it makes the forum look untidy and it doesn't look good for new football fans looking to join the forum Cheers, Bozz
That's fine but I'm still pissed off about having abuse hurled at me and being accused of wumming when I wasn't.
Liverpool players all wearing Suarez shirts before the game is a joke in my opinion. If you want to appeal then fine but publicly supporting someone in that fashion who has been charged with making racist comments it a absolute piss take in my opinion. Also, why the **** is the commentator ( although not suprising considering who he is ) is making him sound like a ****ing hero - ''it must be really hard for Suarez the events of the last few days but he battling on'' etc - for **** sake he isn't the ****ing victim. ****ers.
No this is wumming Arsenal: Will their one man now step up and save their pitiful side once again? and if he does will they still claim they aren't over reliant on him?
This wearing of T shirts for him lacks any class whatsoever and will backfire on them. Any support or sympathy I had, and it was a bit as the punishment seemed harsh, has now gone. **** em, I hope they double his ban. This is sending out a ridiculous maessage, I bet Sepp Blatter is rubbing his stupid ****ing hands together at this show of support to his keep racism in football campaign.
The commentator is at it again '' unfortuntatly everyone now has to be careful what they say in the heat of battle'' - **** off nothing has changed in what is acceptable and not - the commentry is a ****ing joke
This is an act of incredible crassness from Liverpool, not really what they are known for. It's a mistake from them. Absolute ****ing idiot who thought this was a good idea, I bet John Barnes and other ex Liverpool players think this is a right wheeze!
You pick out the one thing that martin Tyler said in praise of Suarez (from among a mass of critical comments) and use that to form your argument?
That aside, I didn't watch I listened to United on the radio, what is your opinion on the T shirt show of support? Bad idea surely?
