Ah, the old chestnut again. I wonder, how many more decades will we have to by "completely outplayed" and still pick up three points for people to admit that we aren't just lucky, we are just highly effective at getting results <ok>

Besides which, didn't Howard make three good saves from Park, Welbeck and Hernandez? Two of which were from about six yards out.

I don't think you look like a posh toff. I think you look like a mental nutcase.

It's not an 'old chestnut'. I believe this is the worst you've looked for a long time. There is now a lot more competition, so errors become more costly over the course of a season. You need a couple of signings in january in my opinion, swarbs.

Of course there was, this is supposed to be banter. If my memory serves me Everton were well comfortable until the sending off and there is no way you can say you'd have won anyway with any certainty. All irrelevant anyway.
As the the 'fact' were were outplayed, all that matters is that we got three points and it's what sets us aside from every other team in the premier league.

    That's every team, including City

That's another old chestnut. Heard it in 97, heard it in 2002, heard it in 2004 and 2005 and again in 2009 and 2011. We probably won't win the league this year, but that is purely due to the free spending dominance of City, assuming they can sustain it. No one else in the PL is anywhere near us in terms of the ability to consistently get results regardless of form and performance levels, which is all that matters in the PL race.

    Oh good, he's back. ;)

Thus far this season we have proved that we're better than City at getting results when not playing well. City have had four games this season where they didn't play very well, against Bayern, Napoli, us in the CS and Fulham. Out of those games they got two draws and two losses. We have had six games, against Liverpool, Stoke, Everton, City, Norwich and Basle. Of those we got two wins, three draws and one loss.

With that in mind, the big question is whether City will be able to maintain their current level of dominance. Thus far this season, if they haven't absolutely dominated a game, they haven't won it.

All I can say to both you and swarbs is that there are an awful lot of united supporters who I know that aren't happy at the moment. Purely my observation. As I don't have mystic powers, I've no idea how it will ultimately pan out. That is all.

Good win in the Twenty20. I dislike this form of the game, but it's good to be top of the world at it. Doen't even approach being top in test cricket obviously.

I think me and Swarbs sit in the corner where experience tells us that we will find a way. As it currently stands I will freely admit that City look too good in the league but you never know and if anyone can turn them over, it is us.

Not fussed on the one day game at all mate, find it all ****. Prefer T20 to 50 over but nothing comes even close to test match cricket.

I'm worried by how we look defensively. The stats that have been getting pulled out such as the shots on goal that have come in against us ( albeit everyone started shooting from ridiculous positions when they thought de Gea was **** ) are worrying.

Seeing our defence, makeshift or not, allowing so many chances to the likes of Basel & Norwich at home is worrying. You can't dominate a game for 90 minutes but we are allowing far too many goal scoring chances at the minute.

However having said that I'm sure SAF will sort it out ( hopefully with a new CM in Jan )

We are miles better than City in every way possible.

A 1 off fluke win doesnt change that.

There are always Utd fans who aren't happy. Part of the problem of being top for so long is that people will be unhappy no matter what. If we were top of the table fans would still be complaining about something. Heck when we won the treble I remember some fans complaining about the performance vs Bayern and saying we should have won the league cup as well.

And barring City, I can't think of a single other club that doesn't have a significant amount of unhappy supporters, or at least supporters with something to complain about, right now.
