He is the only one out of those you mentioned that i would class as 'world class' and he aint getting any younger How you can class Evra and Rooney as world class is beyond me. Blinkered much?
Vidic is one of the best in the world when strikers play in front of him,but he can be skinned alive.He can't handle pace and he can't handle trickery. I wouldn't put Rio Ferdinand in the world class bracket,not now,not ever,he always had a tendency to ball watch...good defender,but his concentration levels were always poor.
Vidic is a wonderful CB. Pace skinning him? Put any CB average or World Class against any fast forward and watch them struggle at times. Actually clever defenders when they know there is a chance they may get done for pace guide strikers wide, down blind alleys and then take the ball off them. Wayne Rooney isn't an out-and-out striker either. I think if you guys were United fans, you'd be saying he was tbh. Take out Rooney and put in any other Premiership striker in the United side, and they don't win the 10/11 league, IMO.

He was bought as an out and out striker. Wasn't good enough and now plays in the hole. Simple as that.
