I think you forget at set pieces Carragher and Agger or whoever, will be busy with Jones and Crouch. But who deals with Woodgate, Shawcross and Huth at the set pieces?
Contscrepe. Tony Pulis is a 4-4-2 manager, so I doubt it if all three of them will play as all three are centre backs. So its unlikely that Liverpool will have to deal with all three of them at the same time. On the otherhand I wonder how Shawcross and Woodgate will get on with the movement of Suarez and Kuyt, now thats a better question.
Sweet right hook on him..... I know they lost, but Bellamy was outstanding this game... please log in to view this image
If Jerome plays wide then whoever is on that side should have an absolute field day, same with Delap, keep them pinned back.
Theo Walcott is light-years ahead of Cameron Jerome talent wise, and Jose Enrique wiped the floor with him. Whether its Johnson or Kelly, they will have too much for Delap down that side. This will give Henderson and Downing on either side the room to do their thing. Then there is Suarez popping up where they least expect it, as we all know there isn't a chance in hell of him staying in a central position.
had me confused for a second, when the f*** did I mention Walcott. Then I saw the next point, haha. I know it is our weak point but I think the wings could be extremely pivotal in our chances for a win when we play Stoke. We should be strong enough to win the midfeild battle. Here is also to hoping that Coyle gets one over on SAF!!
Sorry to disappoint you but Huth is being employed lately as a fullback by Stoke. Here is the team sheet against Norwich: Stoke 01 Begovic 04 Huth 17 Shawcross yellow card 39 Woodgate yellow card (Shotton 77) 06 Whelan 12 Wilson 16 Pennant (Pugh 31) 18 Whitehead 26 Etherington 09 Jones 19 Walters So it is likely Shawcross, Woodgate and Huth will feature in defence. Together with Jones and Crouch that is a great deal of height and power at set pieces.
Everyone of our back line will be over or close enough to 6ft (Johnson, Enrique, Carragher and Agger) plus if we go 5 at the back we'll have the added height of Skrtel or Coates in there. Then you add in Andy Carroll, and Lucas who dominated Kevin Davies in the air against Bolton, then I think we'll be fine.
It would be funny if it wasn't for the fact that Smalling has been playing right back whilst Fabio is on the bench
and liverpool's back 4 this season are claudia schiffer, keira keightly, cameron diaz. & julia roberts!
