Going to be tough to beat you lot next season after you've signed Shaw, Kroos, Coentrao and many other players fair play to the Glazers they've turned over a new leaf and will just be throwing money at Moyes.

  3. Real Madrid were (and may still be) top of the rich list, never stopped them needing help from the Spanish government did it?

I was very impressed with the Everton match on Sunday, which I watched in full apart from when the satellite dish lost its connection or whatever for about 10 minutes in the second half. I thought Manchester Utd. played a quality, flowing game with a degree of depth and intelligence, whereas Everton used elbows and knees and worse at every occasion and their sole strategy consisted of merely kicking the ball up the field then running after it, scoring two flukey goals. Man U were the better team and deserved to win. Shame about Moyes though but that's a different thread.

    Indeed he is

His Uncle put him in that kit by the way

You grew up as a Liverpool fan but was there any pressure on supporting Everton?
Yes, there was slight pressure. My mom‘s brother is a big Everton fan and he had 2-3 season tickets when we were younger and he used to take me to a few of the Everton games and try to persuade me to be an Everton fan, but I always had my dad and my brother when I come home to make sure I had edged back towards Liverpool. When I was invited to have a trial at Liverpool I got my first Liverpool kit and I was going to the Centre of Excellence and being trained by the likes of Steve Heighway and the other coaches. I always knew it was going to be Liverpool.

I'm pretty sure Carragher is pretty open about starting off as an Everton fan. No one questions his dedication to Liverpool [when a player- and even beyond] now.

As for Gerrard, I really don't care if he started off Everton fan (and just denying it now) or not. I have no doubts he is 100% Liverpool not Everton now... even if he weren't- still wouldn't care... he plays for us, and has done fantastic for us... even if in his deepest darkest heart he turns out to be a... [sorry vomited in my mouth]... United fan.

Michael Owen, still tries to earn sympathies with Liverpool fans claiming he is one of us- yet his dad was a toffee, so there is doubts, and he wound up with you lot- kissing that despicable badge :p. I think most of you lot accepted him at the time despite his "dubious" past.

Personally couldn't care less who supported whom at what stage in their life- as long as they are dedicated to my club whilst playing for it- and give their all.

Also, plenty of fans in Liverpool have sympathies for both clubs. Take Paul McCartney, as a famous example- he supports both clubs (although prefers Everton when the two meet).

If Liverpool imploded over night- and ceased to be. I'd probably never become a true Everton fan- but I'd definitely become more interested in their team and watch all their matches instead. In an ideal world the league would finish:

    1) Liverpool FC 2) Chester FC 3) Everton FC

    - dramatic promotion for Chester! ;)
