Politicians are just as bad as benefit scroungers in my opinion. But a few have done good things. But I agree with the bedroom tax. It's not actually a tax though, you do understand that though? All it is is a £20 a week reduction in housing benefit for people living in houses bigger than they need.. If they want bigger houses get a better job and either rent one or buy one. Why should our taxes be spent allowing people live in bigger houses than me who don't work enough to deserve it.

"I think we have gone through a period when too many children and people have been given to understand 'I have a problem, it is the government's job to cope with it!' or 'I have a problem, I will go and get a grant to cope with it!'; 'I am homeless, the government must house me!' and so they are casting their problems on society and who is society?

"There is no such thing! There are individual men and women and there are families, and no government can do anything except through people and people look to themselves first.

"It is our duty to look after ourselves and then also to help look after our neighbour and life is a reciprocal business and people have got the entitlements too much in mind without the obligations."

Margaret Thatcher 1987 - rings a bell now, doesn't it?

As I said I would agree except there are far bigger priorities. Why take £20 a week away from someone living on £100 a week while giving an extra £100 a week to someone living on £10,000 a week? Your last sentence applies just as much to the subsidised rich as the poor. I want the country to be as good and fair as possible and I want the problems focussed on to be the biggest ones, not just acting out of spite towards someone you perceive as lazy and getting a handout. Bankers are paid multi-million pound bonuses using public money for destroying society's wealth. "Privatised" companies receive government money for maintaining their infrastructure but all of the record-high profits still go to shareholders.

Rights and responsibilities do need to go hand in hand but that applies to the rich as well as the poor.

Born, bred and educated in Manchester. In the town recently recognised as being the best place in the UK for education in fact. Besides which, given none of our fans live in Manchester, my statement doesn't rely on the quality of the education system in Manchester. Too subtle?

And I think you'll find the universal truth is that people hide their own ignorance by attacking the arguments of others. Ad hominem yourself nuts <ok>

The President of Uruguay, Jose Mujica, has apologised for apparently referring to Argentine President Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner as an "old hag".

In a radio interview he offered "heartfelt apologies" and blamed the quip on his "rough language skills".

What do the LFC fans think of Rogers' latest comments about the Europa league next season? (saying that if they don't qualify for it, it will work in their favour as they can focus more on the top 4 positions)...

I reckon they'll be all in favour of it. Much like they were all in favour of getting back into Europe this season after a couple of years on the sidelines.

    They're easily pleased <ok>
